  • Depends a lot upon your current windows settings. The most important things are making sure that your mouse hrtz is set to 125 and you have accel off. Oh, and a lot of people really like to be able to turn 180 degrees without having to pick up their mouse.

I play with the following settings: 125 mouse hrtz, 900 dpi, 0-1 in game.
  • Hmm i play with 3500 dpi, 4.5 sens in game and 5.0 in regular windows. Unfortunantly i have always played with acceleration and its such a pain to relearn that i havent stopped.
  • I play with 125htz polling rate, 2000 DPI, and 18 sensitivity, 37 zoomed.
But that's probably because I play fast paced games.

I've got the same mouse...download drivers off the website first.
then set the x,y to 10 and then set your sens in game to 0 and hot key your side mouse button for on the fly sens changes.

I have mine set at 6-8 depending on the weapon. Range shots are made at 3-5 but i adjust as i move in closer on the target.

  • I usually play with low sensitivity, there are benefits and disadvantages to it. Low sensitivity allows for very accurate shooting but slower reaction when someone pops up in your face, but this can generally be compensated by furiously swiping the mouse to the side (for that to happen you need a large mousepad, I have a 18" x 18" or so). Just play on the one where you get most kills at mid range. Everyone likes there sen differently, I can't do a 180 by swiping the mouse to the side, its more like a 120. Do turn off accel, it will **** up your aim as it I remember reading somewhere that it compensates and balances changes in speed (e.g. you running around looking anywhere, and then suddenly you see someone far off and barely move your mouse since your crosshair is on them) and then it makes it the same speed or something, I never had accel on so I wouldn't know, but its best to leave it off.
  • Unless you are a high sensitivity player (in which case, you wouldn't even need to be asking about this anyway!), the "ideal" sensitivity is for you to be able to turn 180 degrees by moving the mouse from the center of the mouse pad, to the edge (this goes for people who aren't high sensers), and then to further adjust from there as needed, based on personal preference.

Low sensitivity players tend to use oversized or larger mouse pads (razer mantis/everglide titan/large sized goliathus, etc). Most hard pads, ESPECIALLY those with wrist rests, are MUCH more suited to high sensitivity players. A wrist rest simply interferes with low sens players.

Also, low sensers tend to move a lot with their arm, and use their wrist for fine adjustments, while high sensers use the wrist a lot more (making the wrist rest more ideal, IMO).
