Game Updates

The USP has finally arrived for public consumption! Now just by becoming a fan of Cross Fire on our Facebook Page, you too can get a free permanent USP Handgun for your account!

There's been lots of discussion on the USP and its viability. Not as powerful as the Desert Eagle, but is quite accurate. Fast firing rate makes it a fun weapon to use, but lower ammo counts means you can go through your clips pretty quickly! Become a fan today and try it out for yourself!

We have also announced that a Halloween Update is coming. We've got some events planned and we will be announcing more news soon. However want to make one thing clear to everyone before the patch goes live.

We will be removing the RPK-Camo ZP Crate from the Black Market. To those who want to argue that this is a greed move. Your editor would like to pose the question of how is removing a ZP crate a sign of greed? If you opperate a store that sells something no one buys, why keep it around? Not to mention if you have it, it makes it more exclusive and special! And who knows, maybe in the future we'll be able to do something more exciting with the weapon. Or by removing it, it makes way for more options and more weapons in future updates!

We'd also like to remind our loyal readers about the Cross Fire friend invite program! This is a great way for you to earn free items, ZP and other things for your account! Check it out and get your friends playing CF today!

Competitive Updates

Our very own GM's are running a Golden Gun Tournament! For those that have signed up to participate the action begins on the 22nd so make sure you're ready! We'll have updates throughout the tournament and the winners will be crowned next week! Are you the Golden Gun Champion?

WOGL has had a hiccup in their anti-cheat program. Pre-Season week 1 for WOGL-O has been canceled. But that's what Pre-Season is for right? Season 2 will start in full very soon so be sure to check out our Tournament section and the WOGL site for your fill of competitive gaming.

Additionally WOGL wants to know what your opinions are of Ladders. Ladders may offer a variety of competition for different mods and rules. A chance to win prizes and be the best in your group/mode/ladder. What do you think?

Community Happenings

The community is abuzz as usual. As usual there's lots of threads with people needing to shout their frustration with the hacking situation. And as usual, we are completely aware of the situation and are doing the best we can at any given moment to handle it. We're still banning hackers, and we're still tweaking our detection methods to make sure we are catching as many people breaking the rules as possible.

But enough of that, lets get to the fun stuff. First off, our favorite collectors weapon is featured again in a video by Perez2395, the Winchester-S gets some love, check it out here. Also, where's Blindrob with a response?

While we're on the subject of fan created work, our MODS are looking for some new things to play with! Giggletron wants a new avatar and DdotT is looking for a new signature! If you got the skills then show them today!

In lieu of Halloween UW figured it would be a good opportunity to make sure you are all up to date with the latest Mutation Mode Survival Techniques! Also, check out this guide for a review on some popular guns for Mutation Mode. You better be equipped to survive because the Mutant Apocalypse is coming!

Us3rK has made a great database showing all the differences in the weapons of Cross Fire. It's constantly being updated with the latest stuff so be sure to check it out. It'll answer a lot of questions you might have! And in case you needed a database of great quotes from the CF community then make sure to visit D34d3y3's quotedb!

We've had some great threads by great people these last few weeks. If you're looking for some great examples of posts we love to read and discuss then do yourself a favor and read through these threads. Polleus, now a MOD has a genuine care for the game and community, if you do as well then show it with threads like these!

Not to be outdone with good threads, another helpful member of our community Core2DuoC1 has started a Cross Fire Training course! It covers the basics. Send him your encouragement here!


Events and Promotions

As mentioned at the top, the biggest promotion we have going right now is the FREE USP Handgun! Cross Fire is also running a very cool Pumpkin Carving Contest.
