Curious Question Involving Ban Systems
Alright so we got this new ban system in effect that seems to be doing its job dishing out temporary bans and such.
However... I am curious of one thing. If a hacker gets caught by this system and gets their 7-day ban and such, what happens if players also sent in reports about the hacker? Does the verdict not change and it simply gets ignored for their slap on the wrist? Or does it increase/perma the ban instead after the concrete evidence of both parties?
Because it makes me a little uneasy that the company will be relying on this too much and not giving out proper punishments that those who send in reports expect the true punishment to be handed out. Also effectively making reports kinda useless. Sure, they would say its good, since it may catch hackers who the system didn't detect, but if the above case is indeed true, the significant value is decreased drastically.
Still a bit miffed that the 'zero-tolerance' of the company is a 7-day ban however. Kind of a joke. It should be a locked ban, if they want to argue their case for their precious account they will make attempts to do so. I know I would. Otherwise there's no problem. It would at least keep most of them off the streets.

Everyone should have a 2nd chance. If they go straight back to hacking, like you said, they will get banned permanently.
Indeed, thats why bans can be lifted. However... We have no real proof that the 7-day bans just don't continue with this system so far. I have not heard anyone get permed by it.
In my personal opinion, I'm sure Support would much rather handle people sending in tickets about banned accounts than the overflow of hacking reports that aren't effectively working well.
Thats why it should be permanent. Less work for everyone overall, and only have to deal with a small % of wronged individuals by the system. -
I tried getting a response from the staff yet none of them wanted to talk about the subject.
I'm guessing there's a 1st offence, 2nd offence and so on system in place, yet I doubt we will find out.
Haha, most of the time staff don't like discussing anything involving their system or practices unless someone makes a big huge ass deal out of it or something that gets under their skin. XD I've already expected this thread to be empty of company influence as usual.
However I somehow doubt their system is that thought out overall. Look at the company we are talking about. Chances are its just 7-day bans to scare them a bit, until they realize its just a break period. -
And of course new auto ban system fail couse they ban legit player if is reported, its like every report is auto ban. I know this from first hand couse they ban my acc for 7 days and i dont use hacks or some other shiiit i am pure legit player..... and someone report me for hacking pfffff

Well, sorry to hear that. Don't know the implications but did you send in a Support Ticket? Regardless, as mean as it might sound, at least the system isn't fake in terms of it banning people. Just wish it was more 'banhammer' than a simple squeaker toy.
Legit players will come to the company for Support. So, in all regards its a lesser of the two evils if that came to pass. -

Recently we have found evidence which proves this account was using malicious software within Cross Fire. This is against our terms and conditions and a ban has been placed on this account for 1 week.
We never block accounts lightly, and we never do so without proof. Providing it to you would just prolong the argument as you attempt to justify the actions taken on this account.
We would also like to take this time to remind you that Z8Games takes no responsibility for the actions on an account that might have been compromised or lost in some way. If the rules are broken on the account we must take action against that account, regardless of the physical person that might have been playing on it at that time.
We apologize for this inconvenience but ask for your understanding as we are trying to maintain the quality of our game. We do not tolerate accounts that break our rules or use these types of programs. And as such this ban will not be lifted.
Subsequent detections and bans may result in further action taken against this account.
Any further requests about this issue will be ignored.

Maybe b/c they took advantage of their 2nd chance and they learned the lesson. That means the system it's working and it's making ppl to stop hacking.Indeed, thats why bans can be lifted. However... I wish that were the case. Either they ditched the account or they waited and hacked again. since I've seen some blatant hackers disappear a bit only to reappear a bit later. Knowing most people, its not something they let go lightly after using it and relying on it so long.
A thief won't stop stealing just because he was caught once and given a little fine. If that was the case our world would be alot better than it is now.
