Deathadder 3500 dpi problem
So I left my computer on over the night last night to fall asleep to some music. When I woke up my mouse was working fine. Turn off my computer for it to sleep for a while and turn it back on and my computer wont load past the Manufacturer Logo unless I have my deathadder unplugged. Once my computer actually turned on, my mouse was unrecognized and the razer logo won't light up anymore. Anybody have this problem?
I have tried to update the firmware, says "this firmware3 update is only for Razer DeathAdder 3500DPI mice.
Please make sure the latest Razer DeathAdder driver is installed before running this firmware update."

I did both of those.CookieMunzta wrote: »Have you tried completely removing/uninstalling the drivers and firmware, then downloading and installing again?
If not, try rolling back the drivers to a previous one.[MOD]Bruce wrote: »Lower the DPI as far as possible, fixed mine.
The thing is bruce that I can't do that. My deathadder drive doesn't recognize my mouse. -
Try the mouse on another computer somewhere, even if you have to beg a neighbor or a friend or school to do a quick plugin. If the mouse STILL isn't detected (the computer SHOULD say "USB device not recognized" or "USB power failure" or something similar), then take the mouse for RMA to the place of purchase, or have Razer replace it.
This is the first time I've heard of a mouse just up and dying like that. Have you tried mashing the profile switch button to make sure that's not stuck?
When you plug it in, there's not even any LED's? Some motherboards can give a +5 standby voltage to devices even when the board is powered off (but ONLY if the powersupply switch is still on, and if the PSU switch has not been toggled off and on).
I would not attempt opening the mouse (even though this is rather easy to do; there's one mini phillips hole between the "CE"/FC" writings right next to the back mouse feet, and two more under the front two mouse feet) to check the connections inside, unless you are sure you can't return it ... -
So, your Death Adder no longer functions. It no longer lights up?
If so, I had this happen. Its an issue with the Death Adder itself, it can happen because of updating with a logitech G15 keyboard plugged in, it also can happen if you screw around with your settings a lot.
I returned mine. -
@xdeadlife:
I just read your post again.
You said "you let your computer SLEEP for awhile by turning it off..."
Can you please elaborate on this?
What do you mean by "Sleep"?
Do you mean you put it into suspend mode?
Or did you actually cut the power?
Was it suspend to RAM (S3-standby) or suspend to disk (S1-hibernate)?
I don't think either mode is supposed to reload or reactivate the mouse profile memory (and the only thing stored in the mouse memory anyway is the DPI setting and the USB polling rate) -
Both of my deathadders work perfectly. But they are 1800 DPI.
I broke the middle mouse wheel on a third DA by slamming the mouse down too hard, after doing horribly in an AVA game...(RAGE!)
Never seen a deathadder stop working like this before, even after reading razerblueprints or esreality...most of the time deathadders break, it's usually the mouse wheel or the mouse buttons clicks stop being "constant" (pressing mouse button once causes multiple clicks), although this can be fixed with some Deoxit D5 power booster cleaner.
All complete hardware failures I've seen are usually based on firmware flash failures...so this is the first one I've heard of with a sponteanous death...
