this game relies on Processor speed more than graphics cards, and uses only 1 core processor
i have a -
Intel Quad core Q8200 2.33GHZ
256mb ATI Radeon HD 3450 <- very low-end card, hopefully getting a 768mb Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) for xmas
4gb Ram
and i get 1v1 = 100-135fps | 8v8 = 50-120fps at 1280x800, 32bit, texture = high
i lag in smoke =/
but the set up you said.. sounds a lot better than mine from what i can tell
the only thing i see wrong with your set up, the ram.. 2gb at 800mhz? that's low =/ -

Well, on my computer, which is a QX9650 @ 4.01 ghz (quad core), I get between 100 to 300 FPS depending on what's going on.
Crossfire isn't multithreaded at all, so pure CPU power is more important than having lots of cores (though wolfdale processors are faster clock-for-clock than Conroes; Yorkfields are faster than Kentsfields (both quads) and Core i7 is, I forgot....25% faster than Q9650 at the same clock speed (singlethreaded/multithreaded without hyperthreading enabled)...
CF doesn't need a powerful computer to get decent frames, unlike something like AVA....
Also using 8x antialiasing with edge detect=24x AA+adaptive AA+16x AF. Makes the game look a bit better...
Anyway with that 3 ghz E6300, you should easily average over 100 FPS.
