SMGs are meant for close and medium range fights...right? So I guess they're not...unless its like the M12s that is extremely powerful at long range.

SMGs have very uneven stats, no one uses them seriously, only for fun games. I think I might play with the mp5 in a wogl match though, ima Rebel G!

this is hard to answer cuz sometimes i spray with my mp5 and still get lots of kills easily.

It's not like sniping makes you pro. I'm very skilled at sniping, but not as good with an assault rifle or SMG. There's more than one type of weapon because there's more than one type of person. Your gun only defines your preference, not you entirely.

In competitive provided you play right not at all. SMGs can prove great for close range encounters eg Defend GR side Mid. It's best to learn a rifle though as you have the long range potential combined with short range potential.
