Thoughts on MODS Closing Threads
Hm... sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, but whatever, I'm a n00b.
Basically, everyday I click on some threads that were made about 5 minutes ago, scroll to the bottom to see that it has been closed by a mod. I know that many people find all the threads QQing about hackers and xtrap, etc., etc. really annoying, but I really don't understand the point of closing threads. So help a n00b out here, and explain the point to me pl0x

When a thread is closed, we can still see it, the only difference being that the last post is by a Mod, and we can't submit our own post. Yes, I know, all Hack_QQ threads are basically the same, but each are different enough from each other so that maybe certain forumers would want to comment on it.
Besides, what are the criteria for deeming a thread to be "useless" or not? It seems completely subjective. Who's to say that all the QQ threads are any more useless and repetitive than the "What's in your bag?" or "Halloween Patch" threads? Maybe we can just say the whole forum is useless and close every thread and have only the Mods make posts.
Besides, these threads promote awareness of the sheer extent of the current xtrapfail problem in CF. I think that open discussion should be promoted, not discouraged, even if the subject has already been discussed over and over again, ad nauseum.
Feel free to flame, tealdeer, fap, etc.

So the stupid QQ threads don't keep getting bumped and more important threads remain active.
Besides we get enough threads about xcrap and patches.
The thing is, which threads are more "important" than others? I mean, it's a game, so there is no true "important". The only threads resembling important are already posted by Saidin in "Announcements," a section which isn't affected by bumping QQ threads. -
We give you every right to read and understand the forum rules.
1) Discussions about hacks/hacking/people hacking are against those rules. We have every right to close it. Why let people discuss something that will eventually turn into a flame war? Or a thread blaming this company, or that company? It's nonsense.
2) We close 100 of these threads per day, if not more. It gets repetitive. You ask what deems a thread useless and/or against the rules? Direct your attention to the Z8Games Forum rules and Z8Games Terms of Use. Any of your questions on such threads can be answered there.
3) We know about the problems. There is absolutely no need to have 100 threads day going on about a problem which has already been discussed over and over again. Why would there be a reason to discuss the same topic that has already been addressed? It always ends the same. Someone blames Z8Games. Someone blames X-trap. Someone blames this company and that company. Trust me, we know about the problem.
4) As I have said in many threads before, since these discussions on hacking are against the rules, we as Moderators have every right to close it as per the Z8Games Terms of Use. Sorry. -
Maybe if you spent more than just an hour or two on the forums to write threads about MODs closing threads then you would know that there are more important threads than this one.The thing is, which threads are more "important" than others? Thanks, what you say makes a lot of sense. But how come we can still see the thread for a long time after it's closed? Wouldn't it be more convenient to just get rid of it altogether? -

If we delete threads, then most likely the OP will just remake his/her thread thinking it was bugged. Therefore, we usually close threads and let the forumers know the reason for closing this topic, it will prevent same mistakes being repeated.
