Are GP crates a waste of GP?

When I started playing crossfire when it came out, I bought the UZI (yes i know it's soooooooooo bad worse than the glock 17 no joke), so I sold that and got a SCAR-H, used it until I unlocked the AK-47, sold SCAR-H and bought the AK-47. I also bought the M1911.

I came back on it after a year of not being on it and didn't realise you get lots of GP for getting badges and daily missions- or at least- didn't realise the potential. Since I wasted so much money buying and selling, I didn't think it'd be worth it to save up.

I won an Anaconda after getting 5 crates as a reward, but after that, nothing permanent. I really want the M16-S but I always buy Thompson crates- apparently they're the best- see so many thompsons around.

My question is, if you've only got 1 permanent main weapon (excluding defaults), and 3 pistols (including USP), and you're happy with what you've got despite wasting so much, would it have been worth it to save up for an AWM (really need it for sniper matches), or is it better to gamble on crates hoping you get something?

The only GP guns I like are the pistols.
However, GP itemshop are probably better.

Hmm... I dunno. I've gotten some nice stuff in the past. It usually pays off nicely.
Still, I usually preferred buying from the Item Shop.

when you have purchased all the gp guns you want, THEN buy crates, there are some good guns in the gp crates, but like all guns it's a matter of personal opinion, I'd bet I like guns you don't and vice versa

Many guys already wasted +500K GP in crates, and some didnt have 1 or more permanent guns. If they went to Item Shop they could already have a lot of guns. see my point?

Its a luck matter, U can get a perm gun at the item shop, or get nothing (95%chance) from the Black market GP crates.

Depends, I've gotten about 4 gp crate guns for under 100k.

But it's all about luck.

If you dont plan on buying anymore weapons i guess but since you get so much gp from badges and daily missions it doesnt matter. Keep in mind that its random. I think the Beretta and the deagle-C are the only ones worth getting with gp

NEVER BUY BM CRATES, BEFORE U THINK U REALLY HAVE EVERYTHING U NEED! ive play so many times on de camo (700+) and xm8 adv (400+) and still dont have them. i could have all item shop weapons if ive never bought crates
