Graphic card
I'm getting a new video card and I have a question. I have a nVidia 6150 LE integrated chip in my computer right now. If I get a new card with PCI support, can I keep the old chip inside or do I have to take it out? Because the chip is attached into the motherboard and I don't know how to take it out. :P

You have to disable your integrated chip through the bios and set it to PCI-E so it picks up the new one. Sometimes the motherboard automatically detects the PCI-E slot graphics card and you wont need to do anything. I don't really think your going to have to yank out the integrated graphics to put the new one.

Device manager. Not BIOS.Spiderpig24 wrote: »You have to disable your integrated chip through the bios and set it to PCI-E so it picks up the new one. On most occasions your computer will automatically recognize the card. If it doesn't then you can disable it through bios. -

Actually, this setting would be in his BIOS. The integrated GPU is part of the motherboard, and is configured primarily through the BIOS. Disabling the integrated GPU in the device manager will keep Windows from recognizing it, but it will still be enabled and recognized by the motherboard as the primary display adapter.CrackinDomes wrote: »Device manager.
