Suggestion: Server location and Ping

You know, I've run into my fair share of people who are from europe and keep on playing in alpha and bravo servers, lagging like hell... and most of them don't even know what "ping" is, or if it's better the lower or the higher.

I mean, there should be an ad campaing to instruct people on that sort of things, like telling them that the closer the server to them the better the ping. Maybe a comparison chart or something like that, they could even put the link on the game's laucher screen so people actually get to see it.

I don't mind that people want to play in whatever server they feel like playing in, I'm just saying that they all should be informed on what the diference is.... playing in Bravo (Canada) will never be the same than playing in UK (England) servers.

What do you think? has this idea come up before?

    They probably are trying to escape from Turks that own the UK servers that act just like BR's:p

    It's not about people running from hackers or anything like that, it's about teaching people what servers they should use if they don't want to lag like crazy.

    Yesterday I was playing with a guy from Croatia in the Bravo server, the guy was calling me lagger... even though his ping was over 250 and mine was 100. To make things worst, the guy was SURE that the higher the ping the better.... he even called me a noob for saying that it's the other way around...

    Good for you, but I'm not from the US, I'm from Venezuela... and like I said above, I don't care that people want to play in any server they want, I'm just saying that everyone should be informed as to what they will get from playing in a server that is far from where they are.

    I just want them to give information to everybody about ping and lag in each server, and how the distance to the server plays in all that.

    Asking them to close a server for just a region is worst than useless... in case you haven't noticed, you're not the first one to ask for it...

    Dedicated servers for each region will just spread players even more, have you seen how empty all other servers are? people just play in alpha and bravo because they think the will lag less in them, and so those servers are packed with laggers all over.
