Tar21 or XM8

I just got some ZP from the surveys, and I am planning on buying some gp and putting it towards a new AR. I have no idea which way to go. I have been using a QBZ-95 for about a year now. Love it, still my favorite gun. But I want something new. The QBZ took me about 1 week to get good with, then maybe another 2 weeks to master one shotting across maps, mostly Fortress for practice. I don't want a gun that is easy to master, because that just gets boring.

So basically, I'd like your opinions on each gun and which do you think is the better of the two.

I say Xm8...its awesome at 1 shooting and 100 damage through boxes. The reload is pretty fast too. The only thing I like about the tar is the firing rate...

yea I was having fun with that 100% wallbang on Ship. How is the XM8 at CQB?, cus the tar must be a beast with that RoF, if you can control the SP. But i'm used to an f*d up SP, the QBZ has a pretty weird one.

Sometimes it lets you down, but most of the time it gets the job done. The TAR is just another SG/AUG...nothing special about it.

kk, so there is nothing really notable about the Tar... thats too bad, i have a soft spot for bullpups.

Tar

TAR is far better then SIG and slightly better then AUG, there is a tar guide somwhere on the forums, search and read it, i have all guns and tar is a beast, its much harder to learn then other guns, but its worth it.

with tar, you can change tactic to cqc to defensive play (using scope). Scope, if mastered, is a beast. Imagine... all headshot and no bullet wasted. Then again its the same as any other bullup guns

with xm8, you can, like other people said, wallbang people. great for front liners.

So it is up to you which of these two guns is perfect for your gameplay/style. If you encounter people more hiding behind crates/boxes/walls OR you just kill them long range/jump on them head-on.

Nuu. The XM-8 isn't 100 through boxes, the XM-8 ADV is 100 through boxes.

both good guns, its a hard choice tbh.
i would say the tar is better for longe range got its scope, xm8 scope isnt nice.
u shud try them out. xm8 on alaska and ask to use tar from someone then decide

I have tried the XM8, i don't really like it for close up. I love it for 1 shotting though, I haven't had much of an opportunity to try the Tar out. I don't think i'd use the scope much though. Really, the attractive feature of the Tar, for me, is the RoF.

Once you have tried it out, you will forget all about the TAR21.
