Cypher's Tier List

Hello,

This is a competitive tier list which ranks the weapons found in Cross Fire. This is more or less the truth, and everyone should read it. Weapons are ranked on mobility, accuracy, rate of fire, rate of reload, ammo, regular damage and box damage.

Tier 1 - XM8-Adv, XM8, M4 Custom, Deagle Camo, AK 47 Gold, AWM Camo and AWM Xmas
Tier 2 - M4 Silver, M4 Adv, Kriss, AK47 Camo, AK 47 Silver, AWM Red Dragon, SG Camo, M4 Gold, Deagle Scope, Anaconda Adv, M4 Crystal and G36K
Tier 3 - K2, QBZ, SG, M4, AK, AWM, Deagle, Anaconda, MP5, AK 74, and P90
Tier 4 - M60, M60-Adv, Gatling Gun, RPK, Drag, PSG, P228, Glock, etc...

Tier 1: 1st round picks, these will almost always benefit your team.
Tier 2: Not as strong as tier 1 but still very solid picks that will benefit the team. Sometimes will be good 1st round picks depending on bans.
Tier 3: Tier 1 and tier 2 picks are stronger however these are good to hard counter the other team. Will rarely be banned, so good ones to learn.
Tier 4: Hard to place on a team, unless you have a preset team strategy that requires these or you know the other team really needs one you should not be picking or banning these.

ps: Remember, just because you have a team all off the tier 1 list does not mean your team is better! Most good teams will use a mix of tier 1, 2 and tier 3 in order to have good balance which is very important.

Utter Fail. All the guns in the 'Tier 1' are just ZP guns. It's more like whos got the most cash to buy a gun here are the ones you should buy. The XM8 ADV is there??? ....

He knows that, he means they're the most effective/powerful guns...whether it's because of the box damage or the extra ammo.
  • P.S. K2 should be higher I believe... lazer beam ftw?

    oi! Where's my AUG?

    :D

Aug would be tier 2/3 (3 for the normal GP one and 3 for the Aug Camo/Crate one)

    reload speed.

  • Tier 1 - XM8-Adv, M4 Custom, Beretta, Deagle Camo, AK 47 Gold, Deagle Gold, AWM Camo and AWM Xmas
Tier 2 - M4 Silver, M4 Adv, Kriss, AK47 Camo, AK 47 Silver, AWM Red Dragon, SG Camo, M4 Gold, Deagle Scope, Anaconda Adv, M4 Crystal AUG Camo, Scar L, XM8 and G36K
    Tier 3 - K2, QBZ, SG, M4, AK, AWM, DSR 1, Deagle, Anaconda, MP5, AK 74, TAR 21, AUG and P90
Tier 4 - M60, M60-Adv, Gatling Gun, RPK, Drag, PSG, P228, Glock and Scar H
    Changes Log:
XM8 to tier 2 - I believe its top of tier 2 the tier 1 guns simply do what the XM8 does but slightly better.
Beretta tier 1 - Basically the reason the XM8 moved down to tier 2. It simply does what the XM8 does but better. Probably one of the best carries in the game at the moment.
Golden Deagle tier 1 - As others mentioned the Deagle Camo reloads faster. However the Golden Deagle has enough bullets to get the job done most of the time. I believe it depends a lot on the situation which is stronger. However this applies to a lot of this list. For an example the Deagle Scope can out shine the Deagle Camo and Gold in some situations.
    DSR 1 tier 3
    Scar H tier 4
    Scar L tier 2
    Tar 21 tier 3
    AUG tier 3
    AUG Camo tier 2

edit: I will see if a mod will make the changes to my list. I see I forgot a few guns, however just to get it out there this is where they would be placed.

    K2

Reload - Very slow, makes it hard for pushing effectively

Rate of Fire - Also not the best, although this does help with the slow reload it forces individuals to be very aware of these things

Weight - Pretty heavy, which is another downside

Damage - The damage is decent, but the weight, reload and rate of fire bring it down a lot making it poor for initiating any sort of team fight. Furthermore it makes it a poor choice for ganking.

In my opinion the K2 is good for "poking", all in all decent for support as it allows for some amazing mobility with its run and gun abilities but its weight, reload speed really do not allow you to be a hard carry. I consider the K2 more of a soft carry imo.

ps: Draft Mode would look like...

    Tier 1: XM8, M4 Adv/Silver, AK 47 Silver/Camo, AWM Camo
    Tier 2: Deagle, Anaconda
    Tier 3: DSR - 1, AUG
    Tier 4: M4, AK, MP5

Tier 1 is given based off of how effective I feel a gun is at preforming its role. For an example the AK 47 regular is great for killing multiple characters quickly. However the AK 47 Gold has additional bullets that make it stronger. Because of this the AK 47 is rather low being tier 3, not to mention the rest of the AK series. Such as the AK 47 Silver, Camo and Scope which bring the utility of the +5 bullets and in the case of the AK 47 scope it also has the zoom function.

Remember this does not mean you cannot do well with a gun from the tier 2/3 rankings. In fact in some cases you will see people pick from the tier 2/3 rated guns in order to counter the other teams picks. For an example if the other team has all golden AK 47's I would use this knowledge to counter pick them by using guns with strong poke, and mobility functions. Snipers like the DSR while being tier 3 would be very effective at poking the AK 47 players. Or scope guns like the AUG or SG, would also have a mix of mobility and poke. Another option would be MP5's and use the mobility to gank the slower AK players.
  • I really don't see the point in this concept, but your effort is noteworthy Cypher.. There will never be "drafts" for guns and players should never be judged based on the gun they use. Real competitive teams won't make strategies based on a gun being able to "poke" better, spam walls with greater damage etc because at the end of the day, that is all luck and you can't win rounds based off luck. I prefer the AK Camo/Silver/Regular over the AK-Gold, I have no idea why 3 extra bullets make the Gold the "top-tier" and I have no idea whatsoever why the P228 is so low rated. It's one of the most balanced pistols in the game.

The AK is just as good as the AK gold at performing its role. A two-tier difference of one of the most powerful rifles in the game is an insult to the gun and definitely hurts your concept.

Don't know what this "poking" is that you mention, but the K2 is a good peaking gun.
If you really want to be able to counter any player in the game, you stick to the gun you know, the gun you feel comfortable with, and don't resort to switching weapons.

I can't see Gun drafts going anywhere because those counters are negligable. There are many other factors in the game that can completely make a scope useless against an AK, it just takes one round.
  • Now I'm for sure, this is the greatest troll post on here in a while.

    I bow to you Cypher.
  • By the way, just because its tier 1 doesn't mean you should go buy it then blame me!

    K2 deserves T1 or T2.

Basically, K2 reload ability makes it hard to place in tier 1 or 2 ranking. The problem is, its not as good for ganking as the M4-Adv/Silver/Crystal/Custom, nor does it do raw damage on par with the AK series. This puts it out of any sort of ganking or hard carry role. As I said before, simply because it is only tier 3 does not mean it is bad. It just means it will not be one of your first round picks.
