my fps
I have very unstable fps in crossfire, and it seems like in anygame i play. Ive tried alot of things to try adn raise my fps and nothing has really helped significantly. I know i have a bad video card, but ive seen posts where people say its not too depending on it. My fps in a 8v8 game ranges from 20-50, depending on where i am in the map, and whats going on. My video card is stock and thats the only thing i can figure is the problem.
Heres what i have tried:
-Gamebooster (aswell as defragging, and top performance button).
-Adjust for best performance in computer settings.
-Setting CF as high priority in Task manager processes.
-CCleaner.
-Low Settings In-Game.
Heres my computer info (as best as i can provide with my bad computer knowledge):
Operating System: Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium* , Service Pack 2 (6.0.6002)
DirectX* Version: 10.0
RAM: 2036 MB
Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 286 MB
Graphics Memory in Use: 134 MB
Processor: x86 family 6 Model 15 Stepping 2
Processor Speed: 1795 MHZ
Video Card: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
Any suggestions? i can provide more specs if nessacary.
Edit: If a new video card is my only option, whats a cheap one that will run cf at a high, stable fps?

Onboard gfx right?
Usaly the onboard gfx's settings are lowered
what i mean is ,
If the card got 256 mb vram , then in bios
you can choose 256/128/64/32
usaly the default settings in bios is the nxt highest
in this case 128 mb ,
check the bios and see if the vram options is the highest ,
if it isn't then check the highest

restart your computer and keep pressing F2 or delete... at some point this will lead you to a blue screen, from there you can change your Graphics settings (should be marked) change it to 256mb (if you can) then press esc to exit and (y) to save changes...
