hypothetically speaking
HYPOTHETICALLY speaking - not naming any specific names. so this is up for discussion and questioning therefore not against any rules
if a league were to allow:
- a regular m4 and a silenced m4 (ZP)
- a regular ak-47 and a camo ak-47 (ZP)
- a regular awm and a camo awm (ZP)
- a regular mp5 but NOT an mp5-advanced
why would you allow a regular mp5 but not an mp5 advanced? why would a league have a standard of "zp items are allowed because they are equally obtainable at every rank" not allow some zp items then?
armor and red smoke for example we all know the have advantages so they are not allowed. did you know the average distance you can hear a suppressed m4 in CF is 15m? where a regular m4 is 54m on average. so you're telling me thats not an advantage? good looks maybe?
dual colts is another example. not really an advantage but its still zp. why wouldnt those be allowed?
if youre going to have a standard wouldn't you pick one or the other? if youre going to allow zp weapons/items allow none or all or your standard becomes invalid would it not?

Wall Damage
Pretty sure having two of any gun would be considered a large advantage even if the Colt isn't a popular pistol. -

the mp5 regular and advanced both have 100% wall damage so disallow them both?
yet the m4 silenced has higher power and can only be heard from 15m on the average
the regular m4 which actually can be acquired without extra means has lower power and can be heard from 54m
not to mention the awm camo has twice the ammo capacity of a regular awm
i would consider that an advantage no matter how small or large
still a double standard -

M4 "Silenced" does not have more power.
You are bad if you cannot get at least a couple of entry frags with more than 5 bullets in an AWM clip. Or even better, the people you are playing are bad if they cannot kill you after you miss 5 shots.
P.S. Keep in mind Z8 and WOGL are both companies and need to make at least some profit off these events. People buying ZP items for WOGL = good. -

Gotta keep everyone in mind.
With a normal AWM you have no option to miss if you're trying to stop a 5 man rush. Camo gives you breaks. -

im not bringing ANY references to skill with this argument nor to a particular league
this is bare bones looking only at the rule set, experience is irrelevant
a rule set such as this is a double standard no matter how you look at it
thats like taking out the xm8 and g36 for 100% wall damage but leaving the type 89 for a weird spray pattern
any advantage is still an advantage allow them all or allow none of them -

if you recall correctly this is not just about silenced weapons, which isnt fair and thats been establish for a league rule set
why not allow the other zp weapons? no one has still answered this

why? if you were to allow these zp weapons, why not allow those? they are all obtainable at every rank and they have no more advantages than a silenced m4 so why not allow them? why not allow armor and smoke? that wouldnt be fair but they are zp and equally obtainable
try and argue armor and smoke have advantages then reference back my silenced m4 stats (sound, placement - GREAT for strats) over a regular m4. advantages are advantages
still a double standard -
In a perfect world, completely fair to everyone, taking into account means of time, means of acquiring money, everything. Entry weapons only. You use what you get when opening an account. M16, M700, Knife. THAT would be completely fair. Probable? Appealing to the community for competition? Probably not. Bobby and I have agreed to disagree at this point in terms of a fair rule set
Every rule set will have advantages and disadvantages from someone's point of view. Leveling the playing field is where it's at. You have to get as close to 100% level for all players as possible. Never going to please everyone. I learned that the hard way.
