mapping tools?
Are the tools to the cross fire mapping open to public use?
I used to map for source engine (half life 2 mods of half life 2 ect) and was actually curious if you used a similar mapping program such as Hammer.
If the program is free to try or even if i have to buy it i would not mind trying my hand at creating a few maps that i think would be kind of interesting.

Smilegate are the devs.
If anyone has a mapping tool its Smilegate...and I'm sure they wont hand it out to public.
most of the time it is a generic mapping tool. The files needed for the game are the issue. Some games you can get all the files needed. Such as textures and models right from your game folders. -

Please note that that is for Alien v Predator 2...
CA and CF share the same game engine (NOTE:...our game looks like crap because Smilegate is crap. End of story) but you can not unpack our files...but someone on a certain hack forum was able to yoink the SPOP skins out, but they have no way of recompressing it back to see them in game. -
Would be nice to see some player-submitted maps about.
Perhaps they should have a competition in which the best-map wins a place in Crossfire, and the player making it gets ZP as a prize? and ofcourse the chance to name it & choose what mode you can play on it.
Maybe even a tournament for each mode!
Who knows ;')
