Why do you place an entire Nationality of people in one group? You wonder why they have such hostility towards everyone else. I'm not saying they do not have their fair share of immature individuals, but they are not the only ones who are at fault here.

While we're steering this into intelligent discussion.

The market and industry is fully aware of the benefits (and problems) of players from South America. There are also many other countries, other than Brazil that fall into this category, the category of emerging markets. And it would take a business or marketing degree to go into the explanations of everything that is going on.

Since business strategy etc is a closely guarded secret in all of the video game world I can't go into any details.

But yes, obviously things like PS3's are inaccessable to a larger portion of the population. Also things like internet cafe's are much wider spread there. The general thought is that Free to Play games reach a broader audience in some of these specific places.

I should also edit here in saying I am not going to bother turning this into a which country hacks the most. Hackers are an issue we are working on. It's never going to stop, both the hacking and the work against it.

That being said there are a few revelations here which we are working on, and which we will use to establish some new focus and direction.

The first being the name of the server is not working. Look for this to change at some point in the future.

The second is getting notice out, something which we can work on somewhat but would also greatly benefit from the communities help on. And that's getting word out to these specific sites. If someone comes on here and says "Why do I lag so much on Alpha", and they are from Brazil. Instead of saying "get the ********** *** **** ** ** ***** *** *** noob". You could simply inform them that the Miami Server might be a better choice for them.

Lastly, the problem of Delta comes up. This was something overlooked by us but we will have discussions on this internally and come up with some sort of a solution or at least an answer to this issue.

Ban Brazil or some other country is a unefficient way to combat the hackers.. They can still play but with some programs to "fake their ips" and they'll lag more with these programs increasing the "lag problem".
I think if z8 provide information like news, patch notes and the most important: Announcements in other languages than english will help to solve both problems.
Im pretty sure our community has some people interested to help.

He's not complaining and no that's not what he said.

He said that they have no money to pay for good internet, therefore causing high ping and causing the feeling that hacks can compensate for such disadvantages. Not an excuse to hack, but it has nothing to do with the fact that it's a free to play game. Shows how ignorant some people truly are to not even realize that he's trying to explain reasoning, not trying to justify it.

What these guys are trying to say is, Brazil has high tax rates. That means internet costs a lot of money. When Brazilians play with high ping (because they cannot afford better internet because of tax rates and how high the price is) they always lose to the "ZP buyers", in other words, us, the North Americans. To compete with that, they hack.

You have to look at it from a completely different viewpoint. There are and will always be at least one person who has common sense or a bit of knowledge in a nation. Just because most or some Brazilians do use a third party program to cheat, they are, and always will be, human. And after all, humans have just the same right to life as we do. What the open poster is trying to say is that he wants to explain why BRs hack. He personally said that he is not condoning to what his nation does, nor does he do it himself.

He puts up a great argument. The taxes are higher in BR, and they are in the process of inflation, therefore they have to play games such as Cross Fire because they are free. Most of the hacking population in BR are just players who can't necessarily play because of latency and ping.

Overall, there is no need to flame him for what nation he resides in, but flame and or hate (to a certain measure) the individual that does the cheating. You really can't blame him. He's getting flamed because he's a Brazilian. Put yourself in his shoes. You may not hack. but your friend might. His friend couldn't play the game, so he cheated to get good at the game. In the end, it's still a game and doesn't go on to tag you in real life..

I'm not taking sides here. I just want everybody to get the real message. He's not a hacker. He wants to help open our eyes to why BRs hack. He doesn't condone the hacks, he just doesn't want to be hated for what nation he lives in.

They don't need or deserve to be banned. Not all of them are in the group that you place such hostility in. They only need to be dealt with in a manner where both parties are satisfied. Whether that means servers, ping caps, or whatever. Banning them is too harsh, regardless of the actions of the ones who do cause trouble. Punishing those who don't cause trouble and don't break rules for the actions of those who do is simply close minded.

Alright, him saying, "and Disconnects many times" leads me to infer that he has hacked before. He also knows hacking sites. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with BRs as a race.....except when the majority of the population hack. I mean seriously, even this guy who seems well educated has tried hacking before, or at least thats what hes leading me to believe. Another thing is their lag, which isn't as big of a problem as the hacking situation, but is still a problem.

My solution to these problems is:

1) Update and fix the hacks ASAP.(Yes, I know they are working on it.)

2) Change Miami server's name to something understandable to BRs, and encourage BRs to go to that server.

It doesn't really matter what you do, BRs will either totally misunderstand (or just not understand) EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. :P

Its funny because whenever a new hack comes out all the BRs go and download it. Yet 90% of the time it takes more effort to ban the hacker than for the hacker to download the hack or make a new account.

There really is no solution except IP banning all of Brazil or making it so they can only play in a southern server. (Btw, BRs don't care about having good ping, they'd rather have the lag advantage)

There is no good reason for hacking. When you say, "To level out the playing field" you mean to kill all the legit players who had to work to get good. You sir, are a failure. If you have low ping or fps then go do something other than hack and make people mad for the sake of your enjoyment. If you really feel the need to play Crossfire then get a new computer or faster internet like this guy did.
