Clan match request

I see the clan match request on the top right hand side of the clan page but im not sure how to use this feature or how it works. Can someone please tell me how this feature works please?

Also, can you request a clan match from another clan?

that clan match thing has been there for as long as i can remember playing this game. Its never worked. I also think that there is more urgent things to be fixed rather than this tbh.
