I guess you'll need to reinstall crosfire.

Check video settings,the last CF pach messed up mine brought it back to 800x600 and I use wide-screen normally.

Don't know whether that is a graphic issue or the game. Alot of people just reinstall the game over what they already have, which doesnt always solve the problem.
Rather than just reinstalling try this new guide I have written. Step by step on how to do a clean install. Might not solve it but worth a try.
