FPS - Crossfire
Hi everyone,
Ok so here's the situation. I was a CS1.6 player before and in that time there was a command that we could do to <lock> FPS in the game. Like if you are going over 200fps, the game go into slow motion sometimes.
My problem is; I got a new computer and now im in average of 230FPS (some peek at 430fps) which make my game going slower (like if I was running/jumping on the moon lol)
Is there any way in CF or maybe a program that you know, so I can lock my FPS to 100 and playing the game fine?
I already tried to set the priority to low on CF executable.. but that doesnt change anything.
Thanks!
PC Spec; Intel i5 760 2.8ghz / 4GB GSK1LL Ripjaw 1333mhz / Windows 7 64bits Ultimate / EVGA Geforce 460 1GB FTW Edition

theres a thing called Vsync but its complicated cause you have to hack into the pc
Vsync is a register in the computer that locks the game framrates as far i know
if you have a high fps and its goes slowmotion
just put up the specs and the fps will going down and it maybe get locked by that
you also can set the prioity of the crossfire.exe below normal that slow down the fps too and get locked maybe
thats all i know! -

I already did the priority to low on crossfire.exe but anyway.. ill try with Vertical Sync in this case and see how it goes. Thanks for the idea

Most graphics card settings have an option to enable or disable vsync. This would be much easier to do than digging around in your registry which could cause other problems if you dont know what you are doing.
And it will reduce your FPS if you turn it on, plus it will stop the tearing effect of the screen trying to refresh itself too much.
