You'll need to uninstall all other previous drivers before installing an older version, as the older version installer was not intended to replace the new one. You can do this through Device Manager.

This is a problem with the 5*** series of drivers, the 4*** series is fine:
    ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/7ld140ww.exe
Above is the link to 4926.

It says no such file or directory.

Well... assuming the driver is installing ok and you tried 3 different ones now. It could be something running in the background causing it to conflict or, from what else I have read about how people resolved this, it maybe a fault with the graphics chip/motherboard.

You might as well try this first to see if it is anything else running causing this.

Click Start then Run, type msconfig and click OK.
Click the Start-Up tab at the top, Click Disable all at the bottom and click OK, then restart the PC.
This will prevent the majority of programs from loading and running in the background when it loads up.

Then give the game another go.

    Didn't work.
    have any other solutions? :S
  • I'd say you have 2 options left.

    1) A complete format & reinstall of Windows, followed by installing only the 1424 driver. This may solve the issue if the drivers you have been installing are messed up in some way leading this constant problem.

    2) As this is a desktop PC and then error is coming from the onboard graphics, you could try a dedicated graphics cards. I would assume you have an AGP or PCI-Express card slot depending on how old the PC is. Just a very basic card (min 256MB) would like be more powerful than the onboard graphics you have been using.
