Anyone running XP 64bit that can still play?

Has anyone tried running the game under a different compatibility?
Right click, go to properties compatibility, click the box and choose a different version.
I've never had any luck trying to run games like that, but it may just work.
Also, select 'run this game as administrator'.
Edit: Do it for the main directory and the HGWC. -

... he shouldnt have that problem, as of now Only non supported is linux (
), mac? and XP64bit(server2003 skinned)
linux doesnt work, tried on virtual mahcine on linux and got told to fk off, game will not run on a machine.
he posted b4 me while i was typing... -
TeeHee, im confused.
Either way, it is probably x-trap being bad and picking up one of the services as a hack. If anyone has time, you should try stopping some of those services and launching CF.
Hes saying it worked 2months ago(which i believe we've established as people were able to play.)
But he switched --> Vista.
then i think he tried to run compatibility mode and admin?(idiot if so as you said for the x64 users to try.)
then said it didnt work on his vista?
ok maybe im confused as well
and its a memory draw(i know wrong word) issue, the 64bit uses a different string somewhere, that xtrap thinks is a hack? -
Yeah, that is all I can think of for now. The problem lies (obviously) with x-trap as the game itself will load if it weren't for x-trap.
If people have time, try doing things in this order:
1.Set the compatibility for both the root CF and the HGWC as a different OS and set to administrator (or run it as admin).
If that doesn't help...
2.Open up windows services and try stopping some of the non-crucial services.
And if this that one doesn't help either...
3.Finally, either edit the registry or download the hack to do so that turns your explorer from a 64 bit to 32 bit.
#3 I would only recommend to people with some knowledge or people who don't afraid of anything. Also, when doing so there seems to be problems with explorer crashing when new hardware is installed. If explorer crashes and doens't restart, open task manager, start a new process and enter explorer.exe Then undo the change to 32 bit.
4:30 in the morn doesn't help my train of thought...
