Why not a machine gun you can use in most matches instead of using special weapons for every game mode, one of the most commonly used weapons in the game is ScarL and Thompson, but there never was something like this:

This is the M249 Lightweight machine gun, uses a 5.56mm, been commonly used in the gulf war & Iraq war, the weapon has proven to be one of the best weapons used in the war, its a machine gun, yet it fires a low caliber with lower recoil and higher accuracy, the power of this weapon will be similar to the M4A1, and the recoil is a little higher, yet it can be used in every game mode, not just mutation spray, and not as heavy as the existing machine guns.
