Server-side anti-hacking system
in Suggestions
Hello to everyone :-)
In my opinion, the anti-hacking system that is currently used by Crossfire is incomplete by design: As the current situation shows, it is just a matter of time until client-side hacking prevention software like XTrap is "cracked", because the "hackers" still have full control over their computer - the anti-hacking software just makes coding a hack more complicated.
However, a server-side anti hacking system just CAN NOT be cracked unless the crackers manage to gain control over the Crossfire servers - which is virtually impossible.
I don't know how the Crossfire Servers work, but checking for speed hackers, incereased fire rates and incereased-damage-hacks is really not complicated - you would just need a modified client that checks if the players' speeds and damage rates are correct and then bans everyone with strange speeds.
Of course, this would need some more system resources and thus cost more, but since CrossFire gets more and more popular, the number of guys trying to code hacks - and by that the need for a better anti-hacking system - also incereases.
Furthermore, you could reduce the cost by making a limited number of clients (perhaps one per channel) randomly check all rooms. This way, you could effeciently clean CrossFire from those annoying hackers.
Please let me know what you think about this.

[/ QUOTE]
Dear reader we are currently working to obtain a new system of anti-hack.
I hope one day to play crossfire without hackrs walking freely on the servers despite having a view that soon after assuming the crossfire Z8Games hackrs Decreased the number of great things.
the only way to stop it and not have more sales hackrs and players who are part of this community to stop using that program, what for many is impossible because the case of children between 10 and 15 years who use credit cards their parents to acquire the hackrs ZPS and the same game.
an efficient way to block ips would be a nice alternative and a partner bout what ha of innovative anti-hackrs with auto-matic updates without requiring a schedule would be the best tool for this, with weekly updates in March, days and hours different systems analyst would give creators hackrs a great job to get round the anti-hackr ie they hackr updates and system updates the time to eliminate it. -
I think the anti hacking useless, in my opinion was to be removed, as our friend said he only slows down the hackers, but not worth anything, this last update Blocked good part of the players, and any hack was been blocked so the last update was a big EPIC FAIL -
I'm not talking about making the entire game server-sided; I just want the CF guys to make a server side anti-hacking system!impossible to make fully server sided FPS game
IP-Bans won't help because most people have dynamic ip's and can thus easily change it within seconds.an efficient way to block ips would be a nice alternative and a partner bout what ha of innovative anti-hackrs with auto-matic updates without requiring a schedule would be the best tool for this, with weekly updates in March, days and hours different systems analyst would give creators hackrs a great job to get round the anti-hackr ie they hackr updates and system updates the time to eliminate it.
And a more frequently updated client-side anti hacking system would probably cost more than a server-side solution :-)
Replacing the client-side anti hacking system with a server-side one may also make CF need less CPU power^^
