"Corruption detected"

Hello I have a problem: I have played crossfire for a few months, but since the last update (katana, etc), when I click on "start game", said: "client file corruption detected, closing game client." and I can not play

I tried to re - downloading and re - installing the game but still saying the same thing....

I have windows xp

I also have the same problem (client file corruption detected, closing game client), someone told me to turn on auto updates and run crossfire as admin but that still didn't work getting annoyed need help please anyone.

Your antivirus software may be corrupting the download while its in progress. Temporarily disable realtime scanning then redownload the v1052 installer. Once installed add the entire game folder and at it to the realtime scanner's exception list.

This seemed to happen to me as well, but even with an up to date version. I start the game and this error appears when the CF loading screen is supposed to start. It ran perfectly smoothly before CF caused me to close a few moments ago. (Big surprise there.)

There is a possibly old files or registry value left in old game file thats corrupting it. Completely remove any trace of CF. Which mean go into your program files and delete any folders associated with CF. Then reinstall latest version of CF. Also turn off realtime scanning while installing as well with internet off. Then there should be no conflicts with install. You can PM me if you need more help man. Good luck!!!
