Noob here, questions
So I just started CrossFire, and I must say, its a pretty interesting game. It has the best reg I have ever played on a free MMOFPS, Combat Arms/ War Rock pales in comparison.
Just a several questions, is it possible to make it so when I zoom in on a sniper rifle that the sensitivity doesn't sky rocket? Its quite annoying.
Also, whats with all the hackers? Every 2 games I join I get hit by a couple speedhackers with like 500 health.
And lastly, whats the best gun? I may spend some ZP on this game for a permanent weapon.
Another note, how many of these people are from South America? There seems to be quite a few hispanics playing this game.
Another note, How come people with 200 ping are playing in servers on the East Coast? Crossfire has many servers strectched around, how come there here?

You can change your scope sensitivity in options>controls and check on the bottom. The speed hackers are going to be dealt with soon. Mistake that X-Trap did. I dont think its gonna take them a long time to fix. They use cheat engine to make the speed hack work so...
Theres no best gun...but I'd say M4, XM8, AK47, AWM, Deagle, K2, and QBZ. Almost all ZP guns are awesome too besides the temporary ones.
Also Sotuh American people are disliked by the community. Brazilians gave it a bad reputation. They hack, glitch, spam, scam, and kick legit players, but Hispanic/Spanish people are chill. Theres a ton of them here/
Theres no east servers btw. All in Toronto, L.A and Miami.

1. Turn down ur in scope sens.
2. Cuz z8 and xtrap are failing.
3. It all depends on what you prefer. Ak's and m4's series are among favorites.
4. Alot, especially br's. Maybe even close to half.
5. Cuz there are only servers in Us, Canada, and Uk. None in south america or asia.

Go into your ingame options. You will see it just under your normal sensitivity.

The Scar Light is the most OP weapon...at least most of the community stands by this. Any of the ZP perm's are worth it.

Most of the so called "Hispanics" are actually Brazilians. Its Portuguese that they speak.

Sorry mate...CrossFire North America/ UK has yet to do IP Restrictions. However, almost all the other versions of CF has restrictions. We have complained about it a lot...no need to post about this issue.

1) If you check the options the zoom sense has it's own slider
2) There has recently been a big wave of hackers and there are worse than normal. While things like ESP will never go away, the speed hacks and such should be patched soon enough
3)As far as a "best" gun goes it's hard to say.
Viable comp play rifles are as follows
-M4
-AK
-XM8
-K2
-scar light <- people will whine at you for using this, banned from most leagues.
4)People play this version of CF from all over the world it seems, Maybe people live in places where 200 ping is the best they can get, and some people just don't get the idea to join another server to get better ping. This is an ongoing debate that shows up on the forums at least once a week.
Edit: look at all the posts at once, You'll notice it's a rather active community also. -

1. There is an option in the settings, which are located in the top right, in
"Controls".
2. Ah, yes. XTrap is working to patch the few hacks that were recently
released. You can't expect to much though, considering this is a F2P game.
Most F2P games have hacks on them.
3. Some of the M4A1 guns are definitely your best choice, that is if you're
godly with aiming at heads. The M4A1 series are very accurate (other than
the original of course).
4. A majority are. But they are as welcome as we are.
5. They choose to play in active servers. I'm sure if you had 200 ping as well,
you would be going to the most active server, along with your friends. Heck,
everyone loves Alpha!

Also can someone link me to a badge guide and what each badge gives you? I saw one in guides but it doesn't give a description, only rewards and name and logo.
Another thing, in comp, are the flashy weapons such as AK Sliver AK Knife, M4 Crystal banned? I would think that as they seem pretty cheap. If it is anything like WOGL's old rules for Combat Arms, only guns not purchased with real life currency are allowed.

BTW: I may get into the compeitive scene, this game seems to be ridiculously easy, I am rocking a 2.5 kd and I am just mowing down people with the K-1. If anyone wants to take my under their wings for a little bit (maybe several weeks down the road) that'd be great.
I have expierence in compeitive gaming in MW2 (TWL), Combat Arms (WOGL), CS 1.6 (CAL-O, back in the day) and I have vent/ts3. -

I can't find the CSN rules, but they differ from WOGL.
QBZ, M4, AK, AWM are all good competitive guns. K2 isn't legal, xm8 isn't legal. Start from there.
Bonus points you get from buying ZP. I forget the exact ZP to BP ratio.

I did not notice the Bonus Points system until something like three weeks ago,
but I am now quite familiar with it. Basically, you spend buy 10,000 ZP, and you
get 1,000 BP. You get ONE TENTH of whatever amount of ZP you buy. The BP
Shop contains a variety of beautiful weapons, sprays, and boosts.
If you did not already know, you can earn ZP from doing Surveys. Whether it's
from your Mobile, or just on your computer, but you can earn ZP from them.
If you're interested, click this, and go to the "Earn Free ZP" tab.
WOGL competitions only accept items that can be bought with Game Points,
which is the currency in Crossfire. I am not a person who plays in these
competitions, so I don't know too much about WOGL. -

Think of badges like challenges in CoD. It's basicly just "Kill X people with X type of weapon" and you get a badge to show off with a reward. In scrims anything goes unless both teams agree on rules. In leagues it depends. In most of them anything Pay to get is not allowed with some exceptions, as well as some exceptions on the other end as well, the scar light is not allowed in most leagues, and the XM8 is not allowed in some as well due to the 100% wall shot damage.Another thing, in comp, are the flashy weapons such as AK Sliver AK Knife, M4 Crystal banned? I completely forgot about the badge question, sorry!
Badges are basically accomplishments. Grade C is quite easy to earn, unless you are
not an active player, or just generally aren't good. You receive prizes with almost all
badges (except some of the Grade C badges). Some things you can win are guns,
sprays, muzzles, and a newly released Wide Grenade. The items last around 7
days each, which is just enough time to enjoy the item!
Nobody has really come to release all the prizes of the weapons, but we do know there
are a couple of surprises awaiting us! The Community is working hard towards these
badges, just so we can know what they contain! -

Is there any tips for me? I seem to be doing fine, but any reccomendations for equipment and whatnot?
Also, does the character matter outside of skin? As in SWAT = more armor, SAS = Faster?
