Salute to the AK47
"Of all the weapons in the vast soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947. More commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle. A weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple 9 pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It'll shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing is for sure, no one was lining up to buy their cars. "

"Do you know why I do what I do? I mean, there are more prestigeous assignments. Keeping track of nuclear arsenels - you'd think that be more critical to world security. But it's not. No, nine out of ten war victims today are killed with assault rifles and small arms - like yours. Those nuclear weapons sit in their silos. Your AK-47, that's the real weapon of mass destruction. "

People on this forum make me laugh. Ok if you think those rifles even compete with the likes of the Kalashnikov you may have problems. There's a reason why the Spetsnaz (the most elite force please don't tell me one of your American Forces actually goes through the training the Spetsnaz do) still use that gun. There's a reason why that gun which was designed in the 1940's is still one of the most famous and used rifles around the world. You know what that reason is? Every time you pull that trigger an absolute monster caliber
of a round will come out of the barrel and if in the hands of a skilled marksman your target is going to go down every time.
Remington Adaptive COMBAT (Get your terminology correct before you even take a shot at the Kalashnikov) Rifle. Do you know how many faults there are with that gun? Yes it's probably the most versatile rifle in the world currently but it's supply of parts is atrocious if the smallest of things, like an extractor, or a gasket breaks you have to send it back to Bushmaster. The fact it's even breaking is a worry already and my mate of mine he even said the ACR is very unreliable two weeks old without a round fired through it the coat-hanger-wire wrench that twists the quick-change barrel snapped off... So the barrel can't be removed any more.
Do you really want me to go into the other guns because I can tell you know The ACR has probably the least faults out of those guns. All of those guns are utter fails at replacing the M4 why because sure they may have all these upgraded changes from the M4 they will never get the simplicity right which makes a great gun. Oh and the G3 please tell me that was a joke. -

more then taht, teh ak47 is near indestructable, run it over with a tank, leave in water or mud, it'll still function perfectly -
