Shovel is nooby and annoying. Make it permanent and you'll see more shovelers than ever.
Even if you can pinpoint doesn't mean you'll win. Ghosts can bhop (and you cant hear breath when they bhop and they receive less damage), have breath down, step down, and shovels. You'll lose against a decent player or a tanker. -
Heh, the reason I'd like a permanent one is because Ill never use it otherwise
I dont see a point in spending ZP/GP on temp items (other than like speedy defuse, genade slots, headgear, etc)... So Ill never use the shovel or the katana otherwise unless I just happen to randomly get it for something else (i.e. ZP crate or something):D -

GR has guns sure...but most of the time people spray making it hard for you to pinpoint. They block you and spam the radio.
GM has bhop, breath/step down, and they're invisible. Plus the shovel...so dam annoying.
I haveto disagree with you i went and mod'd my sound to get rid of all the Radio messages and when GR spray i get away as fast as i can so i may listen. even with pro GM BL i find it easy to get 30-4. -

If the guy is good... He'd probably beat me with a knife just as well...
Shovels/Katanas don't make bad players better. Thats why I don't mind if everyone had one -
I haveto disagree with you i went and mod'd my sound to get rid of all the Radio messages and when GR spray i get away as fast as i can so i may listen. even with pro GM BL i find it easy to get 30-4.
I just disabled radio messages with the options CF has...
But then you have the people with M12s, RPK and AK47 (which people cant even aim with) and it makes it a little harder.

If what you said is true then GR would win in both sides on the March of the Ghosts tournament. Which is not what happend, and people were only using axes.
Pro gamers =/= Average players...
Im not Pro... +90% of the players in this game arent Pro.
Balancing a game around some tournament with the best players ever isn't going to end well for average people like most of the games customer base
So yes if everyone was a Pro, shovels might be OP... but in your average game... it probably doesnt matter. -

BL: Bhop, knife and plants bomb.
GR: Pinpoint, gun, and secondary weapons. (handgun/nades/ect)
With just this it is completely balanced. Most of the time the BL that use ZP weapons is because they don't do well otherwise, in which case they will get owned by a GR who really knows how to play.
If for some insane reason one of the best BL players in CF used a shovel and bdown. Then shame on them, and pitty the poor GR team that faces em.
