Game News

We've recently patched the game. The patch has been doing quite well. Some people were quick to judge the Katana's impact in the game, but as it turns out it's not as insanely overpowered as some people might have thought. The wide grenade also made an appearance in the form of badge rewards. Will we see it elsewhere?

We've taken some steps against hacking in this most recent patch as well. Some may have noticed that the client code was changed which has made a significant impact on some of the public hacks available. But we know that there is still work to do, so we are putting more efforts into this new wave and are looking to have things fixed as soon as we possibly can!

Next week we will be celebrating the M4A1. We've got a lot of events and promotions and giveaways planned so get your rifles ready! It all starts Monday, there will be more information on this one over the next few days so make sure to check back to the site or our social media outlets!


Competitive Updates

If you haven't already heard. WOGL is into season 2 and the registration is open! Both the WOGL-P and WOGL-O have cash prizes. And for our European players there is a WOGL-EU which also has a cash prize! Sign up today if you haven't already and compete for real cash prizes!

The CSN is also now into round 1. However there was a technical fault and some of the round 1 matches had to be replayed. If you are in the CSN and are reading this be sure to check our forums for the latest information.

Drafts!

Drafts are active in Cross Fire and happening all the time! WOGL especially does regular drafts. Are you tired of playing with pubs or want to step your game up against real competition? Then head over to their vent and play in a draft!

There is also an event being held by the CFGMC which is a cross fire ghost mode community this weekend. They want to gather fellow Ghost Mode players together this Saturday for some great legit action!

There's always something going on in the Competitive world of Cross Fire so be sure to keep your eyes to the forums and to the fansites around the web!


Community Happenings

This week was a slower week for the community. Everyone is getting used to the new patch, and there's still lots of concern for the hacking situation within the game. We are working on anti hacking measures, and hope that everyone understands we are doing the best we can to take as much action as possible.

Some highlights on the forums this week include speculation on what the badge system rewards are. We haven't released the full set of reward details, and there are a lot of rewards to be earned! So keep getting those badges and when you get one no one else has make sure to tell everyone what your reward was!

Speaking of badge rewards, the elusive Wide Grenade makes an appearance in the Badge Rewards. So if you're looking to get it you'll have to earn it!

razzzzzo brings up the eternal, neverending question of who might be the best sniper in the game.

Efficient wants to celebrate the anniversary of Santoria! Oh how a year passes by. Funny enough as much as people complain about some of the more prominent issues, it's amazing that it's been a year and we're still as strong as ever! That was a long patch ago, what else went in that patch?

We'll have lots of Halloween stuff coming in October but Efficient also started a little discussion, head here to speculate on what we might do!

Z8_Eternal bought a name change item and wants your advice!

And don't forget that M4A1 week will also include some community activities as well. So keep your eyes open on the forums for a chance to get some extra rewards!

Featured Website - CFGMC

The Cross Fire Ghost Mode Community (CFGMC) is a group of people who are trying to rally fellow ghost mode players together to enjoy legit games of Cross Fire on a regular basis!

They have a website with some forums where you can register, they are doing some events this coming weekend and are looking to bring back some of the competitive ghost mode scene. Do you like Ghost Mode? Then say hello to the CFGMC!


Events and Promotions

This week brings us a new type of in-game event. One that can benefit your clan AND get your practicing your headshot skills! Check out the news post here, until Sunday you can earn yourself extra an extra clan point for getting 50 headshots (max 5 extra clan points per day).
