Sigh, time to give my two cents I suppose. I honestly don't see the Moderators doing ANYTHING wrong. Call me a brown-noser or whatever terms you use for that. They do their job according to the rules set forth by the parenting companies. That is what governs their actions. It's your fault you did not correctly read the rules and Terms of Use on these forums. When you signed up for an account on these forums, YOU agreed to THEIR rules, not the other way around.

Excerpts from the Terms of Use:

You are in their world. You go by their rules. Simple as that.

Moderators can delete/close anything they deem in violation of these Terms of Use. They have the RIGHT to do so and calling them out for "all they do is close posts" is actually right in their job description. They close posts that are unnecessary, such as "Hack" threads. Nothing a PM can't take care of just as easily.

I am pretty sure posting ANYTHING pertaining to hacks, hack sites, etc. falls under content that violates the copyright and intellectual property rights of the entity known as SmileGate, which created this game.

If they feel like suspending your account, I believe it states right there that they can, without notice and with what they believe to be in violation of said agreements.

tl;dr - You signed up for an account on their website. You indefinitely agreed to THEIR terms when you signed up for that account. If you didn't take the time to properly familiarize yourself with what you could and could not do, that's not their fault now is it?

Obviously this was written by Polleus.

I couldn't have done better, splendid information right here.
  • NOW THAT'S what MODs should be doing

That is an above and beyond example to what MODs should be doing. Every time they infract somebody they put underneath the infraction the paragraph of the rule that they broke.
I spy our next MOD. Sorry SirHi, better luck nxt time.
  • Lies...Ddot eats pie too. He dun like cake.

I wouldn't object to that, if they were to quote the actual rule that was broken from the Terms of Service or the Z8Games Forum Rules. It might actually lead to less argument from the user. But that would require more work on the Moderators part, but nonetheless it would go a long way into proving their actions were justified.
  • We can infract for rule violations at our own discretion. We could say THAT in every infraction notice but its not very nice.

thread: we're the internet tough guys.

O.o dot is getting his infraction quill ready.
Btw do u have a stat on how many infractions u have given out? And compared to the rest of the MODs as a whole?

OT: I took the idea of "reporting which rule u broke" from the farmville forums. After them, ur a cuttiepie MOD. Seriously, first day, 3 infractions
  • They also come @ my house to make CAKE and Pie for me!!
  • CSNKris is pretty much spot on.

The moderators are here to help us keep the peace. If you have a complaint about them you can come to me. But chances are they are just doing there job. Closing and removing threads against the rules or that contribute to a negative community is something we ask them to do.

So when you post your whining insulting racist thread and have it closed, it was closed for a reason. When you post it 15 times in a row and get an infraction or banned the mods are just doing their job.

Being the "tough guys" are the last thing the mods want to be. But their hand is often forced.

All of them are doing a great job, sure every now and then I have to come in and keep them in check, but that's my job. If you have a complaint about the moderators come to me and we'll sort it out. I can at least explain the motivation behind their actions and diffuse the situation a lot easier than raging on the forums.

I also find it funny the amount of people who seem to dislike the mods, and then turn around and want to be one. If such example of a person became a mod, and let threads that break the rules go through then I would kick them off the team for not doing their job.

As far as banning hackers goes, the mods play the game as well, it's part of their job. And they find hackers just like everyone else. And they send in reports like everyone else. But having a direct line to us can sometimes speed that process up a bit.
  • They don't do nothing. Apart from sitting there eating doughnuts ;)
  • Moderators are here to help and handle the community.

DDotT does his job strictly, so don't blame him for your bad behavior. He's just doing what he thinks he must do, or in other words, enforce the rules.

Some moderators are milder, some are stricter. Now, I don't understand your hate for him.
