this whole thing has nothing to do with our antivirus, they all ask and you just click yes and it adds to exceptions. it is a problem, again with Z8 not updating the version so that it tells you cp it has the latest version because we downloaded the latest version it just still says it is the last version we had. a total pain meaning we all may have to download crossfire again just so that they can change one pathetic number. ****.

Any help please? i reinstalled CF with newest ver 1043 and still the same error.... Started up game like 20mins i lost count how much times i started... Always same error. Restart pc nothing help too. Please for help >.>

if ur error is file changed crossfire.exe i have the solution to this problem. it happens as ur patching or installing crossfire, the anti virus software you have is detecting it as a trojan an deleting the file you need so this is y u have the file changed error.
how to fix:
1. uninstall crossfire
2. turn off virus protection
3. redownload setup (you have to do this because if u use old setup u will have to patch, but it should work if you patch while the virus protection is off)
4. install it while anti virus is off
5.(a) before you load it put the whole folder of CF on the exceptions list. if u dont know how look it up on internet if u have avg this is how to do it
(b) open up avg
(c) double click resident shield click manage exceptions then click add path
(d) find the CF folder select it and click ok after that click apply the just simply close avg
6. load CF and it should work

me tooooomy problem is hgwc i think, 'file is changed : W[2007]l[5]
crossfire.exe' its happen when hgw game watcher start cheking at 0%..
I already reinstall like 5 times, but the same problem.. Plz help me solve my prob -
I load xtrap...
To about 69% and my whole pc dosent work like it just freezes and dosent fix itself until i manually press the power button...
This dosent happen all the time but seems to happen alot for me...
And im up to date with cf,I dont get errors i just get a frozen pc -

I get the same error. Xtrap dont patch right and when HGWC loads to 92 step 10 it exits and no error no nothing. And still no solutions. Its been a month now i have had this problem. So ****ed i paid alot of money on this game and cant play.
My laptop is fine but is really laggy. My PC also has this error
