Game News
The patch is here. We all knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when. We've been previewing the upcoming patch on our various social networks all week. Urban Warfare is going to touch on some of the more serious side of things with a little bit of discussion on some of the hacking situation.
There has been a decent thread with some civil discussion between us and the SilenceR about the current situation. We here at Urban Warfare and Z8Games are fully aware of the problems presented by the current wave of seemingly endless hacks.
We are banning people as fast as we can and punishing those people who want to take advantage of the vulnerable program by issuing IP bans and account closures and all the other things that we can do to ensure the game stays as clean of hacks as possible.
But the next patch will also introduce some changes deep at the code level of the game that will help slow and stop some of the current hacks that are out there.
Urban Warfare can't go into full disclosure at this time because we won't know the full effect of the changes until we track the hack status. And also, we don't want to give an advantage to the hackers. But some of the major pieces of code that a lot of the current public hacks use will be turned upside-down this patch. We hope that this will greatly help with the situation on these hacks. And combined with a new version of the game in general this should help us buy some extra time to get caught up on a few hack reports and get a head start on tracking some of the other more difficult hacks that are out there.
So have some patience, significant changes are coming which will help in this patch. We won't know until after the fact, what kind of impact they will have. But know that this situation is not out of our heads and we realize we're not out of the woods just yet. But there is some light at the end of the tunnel!
Competitive Updates
Season 2 WOGL registration is happening right now. If you don't already know what WOGL is head over to their site to check it out. They are one of the best leagues running for Cross Fire right now. Registration for their Open and their European leagues is on now and is going until October 10th. So don't miss out on the opportunity to play there. There is cash prizes to be won and broadcasts to watch. WOGL has it all!
Not to be out done, CSN is checking in for any last minute changes to their structure before they go ahead with their first tournament.
The ESL will also be bringing up their leagues. Currently there are some big ZP prizes planned and additional sponsorship for weapons and prizes from Z8Games. So stay tuned for more of that information.
Community Happenings
There seems to be a lot of threads about the hacking situation on the community. Just everyone relax, making a million threads on this subject doesn't change the facts that we already know about. Just be patient while we work out the solutions and get the game back to a higher quality level!
iRey69 played CF until he collapses! And he made a sweet video about it too. Give him a high five in his thread!
The GMs are still playing almost every day and invite you guys to join in! Keep checking the posts they make to join in. Your very own UW editor has gotten into some of those games recently too so say hello!
DarkArtz wants to know if the M4A1-Silver or Custom is better? And in the same light IamNubie wants to know which Silver weapon is better?
An option for night-time maps would be very cool, but there are no plans for such an option at this point. Try playing on Santoria for some of that sweet night-time lighting!
Don't forget to check out the Clan Forum to see who's looking for clans! You never know when you'll find the right fit!
We'll be looking to make changes to some of the forum stuff over the course of the next while. One of the changes we'll be doing is making a competitive section instead of a tournament area. Once we're ready to make the changes we will let everyone know!
Have you seen the movie Kill Bill? We have, and we wanted to have a little fun with the new Katana Update by giving you a little wallpaper for your computer!
And it wouldn't be a UW without a shoutout to the OT forumers. SilenceR is celebrating a birthday, Scar_Gallery wants to keep you out of this thread. And don't worry if you are upset when the servers go down for a patch, Emo is giving out free hugs!

This week we don't have a featured clan or website. However we have a lot of new ideas coming for this section of the news letter. Also look for LPK to be showing up in an UW episode soon!

its been 2 months since you told me and in 2 days it will be 12 months since Fallen made that fansite kit.. its a bit old cmon 
I would love to see a 3rd preview of the patch as-well, wouldn't like to see a patch with just a Katana update -.- -
People The Patch has only [1] New Weapon KATANA Obviously , [1] New Map ARENA 2 , And The Feature thing that's ALL it has,
ALSO today i've been accused of speed hac.king and on my Screen im moving just perfectly Normal But once i watched the replay my client was corrupted due to MASS Hackers Causing me to teleport everywhere in the Fkin Map... I've noticed all of that on the replay, but not on the actual gameplay itself.

it shows that i've picked up several weapons, but i;ve only had 2 weapons my sniper and pistol, on the top where it tells u who kills who and on the screen where it saids me [the teleporting guy(everyone said that i speed hack) ] killed some guy with a scar light at that moment(i don't remember carrying/picking up a scar light) my name did not pop up it was someone else from the other team...
Client Merging Error maybe?
Has Any1 encountered this problem lately?
Yes, don't worry if you don't hack you wont get banned. Its just a simple spawn bug that makes your character bug around the map while you simply play the match without any problems. -
This is awesome even though this is the first time i know when a patch is coming because I never notice I'm in the moon most of the time, but I do remember when they brought SPOP to the game XD I so love this game I'm such a nerdy chick oh well thank you z8 games XD

Quick question. Are there anymore Leveling up GP Bonuses? I find it hard to believe, with so much content in the game as of today, more tomorrow, that we stop getting GP after ranking up to Staff Seargent 1st Class. Anyone with me on this one? Trust me, I'm not sayin gthis for my own benefits. I'm a 1st Class rank, just saying it would help engage people into leveling up more often. Maybe 75,000GP Once you reach the 2nd LT plateau.

I think a gp lving bonus would be nice, and if the katana was ( bonuspoints, cupons, or gp item) not a crate item or a zp item. the axe and shovel are already zp items, there should be a new melee for gp instead of zp. And you have to be like sfc rank 1 or msgt rank 1 to get it, who agrees, any takers. -

People say that the AN and USP is coming out.
I'm still dumbfounded by the previous patch, a winchester-s. For a GP crate, this is still surprising.
And good luck with the hackers, you know how fast they can come back, and I know you guys try researching these hacks (Since you guys found that key-logger in a few of them).
I've been looking through Google and I found a few sites giving out a few hacks, like 2 hacks per site.
You guys should take care of the GP Crate hack, since hackers can't go out without a good gun (I know why). Also, you should warn them more about some of the sites that give out viruses, by just visiting them. I've gotten a .Trojan from one of them already. [THANK YOU MALWAREBYTES]

Patch means wait to play... But anything to stop hearing everyone complain "kick" or "hak" And It is getting old when I actually do good I get called hak and booted...
Not fair I work hard at fixing lag, earning weapons, and killing my hands with carpel tunnel just to get my k/d balanced. I mean shoot, Im almost 30 and played fps games since duckhunt came out for nes. So why waste my time and risk account to cheat?
You cheaters have to be kids who peek at presents. It ruins christmas.

i have an DSL LAN (Wireless) and all my zone i am living in play crossfire and they take from my wireless lan and i dont know if any body from them hack or not and suddenly surprised that they hack and after the update My IP has been block and can't play the game
please think in and decide what is fare in this thing you do
