Armor and ghosts.

  • I agree with this. They should either fix the bhop bug, or lower armors effectiveness when used by the ghost team.

They could do both. =D And for those of you who don't want the bhop bug fixed, learn to play Ghost Mode without the use of noob bugs and such. <..<

Psssssttt. Make it so the ghosts invisibility works on there x-y coordinates instead on if they're moving. That way the bhop won't work because there x-y coordinates are changing! =D

    Are you drunk?
Without bhop you can kill noobs but if you're facing pros you're pretty hopeless..
Removing bhop would make GM unbalanced.

Or perhaps you just have no skill. I can kill plenty of GM pros without the use of BHOP. You just need to know the layout of the map, and all the spots that aren't checked often.
  • Ghost Mode is a joke...

If you have iPod headsets. Way better than anything.

The Armour can only protect you from a right-click knife stab, and grenades. Some people say it even protects from a left-click axe, but I don't know if that's a myth.

The armor protects nothing against melee weapons... It protects from gernades and it absorbs bullets in the chest; and/or head with the helmet. Not perfectly, but enough so that you can take maybe 50~75; maybe even 100% increase in damage, Depending on if they hit arms and legs or not.

as if having b-hopping invisible people with bladed weapons isn't dangerous enough. You should at least reduce the effectiveness of armor when used on the ghost team- as is anyone who's aim is stealth will want to be able to move fluently and quickly, both of which should be affected by armor.

Fixed: As if having visible people with headsets and guns isnt bad enough. You should at least make guns only do 20% of normal damage when used by GR and 200% louder- as any good soldier would want.

People will ALWAYS find something to complain about. At the moment, I find Ghost Mode to be nicely balanced. Breath down and shovels counteract global risk's headsets and longer range guns. While I do find the shovel's range a bit ridiculous, think about how far tipped in GR's favor the game would be without some ghost perks.
  • my god... all i see is a thread full of terrible players arguing over terrible items..

armour is bad, and you're bad if you wear it.. in any mode.
  • armor is just a scam, look at me- never needed it, still pwn noobs

THIS !!! I finally found somebody clever enough to understand that :D

And well, armor seems too powerful to me too... dealing 21 dmg with a Dragunov headshot is just pathetic >>

o..o Ummmm, thank you? And yes, the armor is totally ridiculous. D-eagle does 40 damage with one shot on a non-armored enemy. But with armor it'll only do about 10-25.

    yeah no.

B-hopping is a part of the game now, accept it. Without it, GR team would be over-powered.
  • umm no... if they got rid of bhop.. then gr-bl balance would be messed up. All BL would have is
    +invisibility
    +bomb
    -LOUD BREATH

    then GR has
    +guns/grenades
    +loud breath to hear
    -has to defuse bomb
    +long range(kinda goes with guns)

Armor makes people harder to kill, But I've encountered alot of people who use this bulletproof armor with no drawbacks. Personally I believe that nothing is perfect, And that includes armor.

I understand people pay money for this, But when they get it they play ghost mode where it makes ghosts twice as hard to kill- as if having b-hopping invisible people with bladed weapons isn't dangerous enough. You should at least reduce the effectiveness of armor when used on the ghost team- as is anyone who's aim is stealth will want to be able to move fluently and quickly, both of which should be affected by armor. No man is going to go in and be successfully stealthy with a tank around them(Just as you can't logically sneak around with power armor in FO3, etc) I respect that this game is not other games, but then again it's not entirely logical. .-.

Both of you are huge QQr's if you dont like it, dont play. your both noobs..
  • From what I heard, Bhopping was an accident introduced into the game in one of the patches. The developers saw it improved gameplay across all modes and balanced GM again (which at the time was terribly in favor of Global Risk), so they decided to just leave it as it was.

As for armor, I don't see too many people with it, it doesn't bother me. Yes they tank like bloody hell when they wear it, but that just makes it more satisfying to kill them.

    Now the shovel however...
  • Medicalham is right... it does even it out... like i kinda put already but the shovel/axe.. think of it as this.. gr gets better guns than m16/m700 why can't bl get better weapons than a knife?

I believe b-hopping was always in the game, but the "accident" was the November patch or something which made it incredibly easy to bunnyhop by increasing the time of the small intervals between bhops.

Correct me if I'm wrong though :x

That works as well. I only joined in November, and I learned to bunnyhop from the first time I played GM simply by watching other players. If it is a bug, it is a bug which takes skill and you have to learn how to use and I believe it should remain in the game. You're still killable and you're in the map, so leave it be.

Also, before people learned to bhop, ghosts almost never won. They were always getting face fooked by GR.

Now things are more balanced and fun :]

If you can't win with what you have, and you need something else, then don't play the game. The b-hop is something extra. If you can't win without it then simply stay away from GM.

It may be extra, but its balanced things out. Ghosts have a chance to win now. Before breath down came out, you could only kill the good GR players that pinpointed by bunny-hopping, which was extremely difficult back then.

Your reply constructed nothing at all; You are thus either overly ignorant, Or a troll. Wait.. those lack differences. Either way, Your reply was very pointless.

The B-Hop is not necessary to win.. I can't/haven't seriously tried use/using the B-Hop; And I kill plenty as a ghost. But personally; And some people have agreed, Having people with their money winning just because they can buy armor, breath down, noise down, damage down, etc; And basically B-hopping their way around as an invisible silent tank holding either an axe or a shovel.. That gets pretty annoying; And wherever there isn't a hacker, noobs kicking you for being better than them, or something of the like on global risk; theres invisible tanks running around on black list. Hell, Its even enough because the worst problem for GR is kicking the entire team just because you don't like them. Yeah 2 votes; but still, The entire team trying to kick half the team will get it OKay'd.

The us of breath down and foot steps down balanced it out. The bunny hop is a total noob thing to do, thus the people who can't win without shouldn't play GM at all. It's as simple as that.

Two things, one, the b-hop is in-fact a bug. If it's not something that was programmed into the game knowingly, then it's a bug.

Two, it takes me about 3 seconds to PP a ghost without breath down. Maybe 5 if they have it.

you obvs have no idea who i am

then its like stackin in mm
a "bug" which they became aware of but decided to implement into tha game after polls etc

i have 0.1 reaction time shh

Lol, so arrogant, and so ignorant. The stacking is something that was placed intentionally before they came out with Maiden. Maiden's increased jump height and distance made stacking unnecessary. But they never took it off because not every can have Maiden.

But anyways, that reaction time is quite literally, humanly impossible.

    Get your facts straight.
  • I don't see any problems with users wearing Armour in ghost mode, honestly.
