encourage reports
hello this is my first time posting and i have a suggestion about the anoying hackers that have been appearing lately.
ive seen wall hackers, aimbots, weapon mods*, invisibility, walk trough walls, speedknife , speed hacking, tankers, 1 hit killers, all weapons, no clip ...
we have to stop this!
*(it was a long time ago wen players had the rpk and it didnt existed yet lol)
the thing is:
players are too lazy and disencouraged to report hackers
this is our to-do list to report:
-we have to save (alot of players forget to save wen the match ends)
-we have to exit the game
-we have to write for 5 - 10 minutes the reasons and type of hack
-we have to look for the right file otherwise we need to open the game>storage>replay again lol
-we have to send o the gms
and after all this work the hacker comes back with another account and a new undetected hack
my suggestion is to reward players for theyr contribution for cleaning this game!
this way players will report!

players that false report get 24 hour ban
i never saw gms ingame so i think this idea would be good
the rewards could be gp since (and i bet -.-) z8 wont give zp
at least 500 or 1000 gp would be great
i doubt they will give more
im sure u all will say that this idea is ridiculous

I would be encouraged to report just by having my earlier reports that were sent in to z8 games in March looked at and the players banned.
Killing whole teams with m60's and uzi's in 2-4 secs isn't pro right?:rolleyes:
Even if reporting did work, would I then be bothered to report hackers in a tedious process only for them to be temp banned for 3 days or at most have their mediocre corporal account closed? -

Report using the new system as I'm unsure if the old ones get reviewed.
Hackers do not get banned for 3 days. They get permanently banned.
If you don't think its worth it for a corporal account then don't report the corporals.
GP rewards can't be given out for reports sent in.
It creates an unconcious bias for the person reviewing to even know that the person reporting will get paid.
Not to mention its impossible to keep track of it, due to the sheer numbers of reports, and the fact that most of them are false.
The reporting process is pretty smooth imo.
Pushing the save button and then OK is kind of an inevitable process.
Use Windowed mode, no need to exit the game.
The files sort themselves according to when they were saved. And you don't have to enter an essay as to how they were hacking.
"Aimbot, IGN, started on round 4" is plenty.
'We have to send it to the GMs' after this process is a matter of clicking the "Send" button.
Can't get much easier. -

If it was done wrong its because in the Z8 request thread you request reports in the wrong format.
Here is the format I used:PM title: Hack Report for falamansa196
Included are the details to report "falamansa196" for hacking.
To us players actually in the game we noticed quite early that this guy had a far too high ROF, his bullets seemed unreal and too rapid and as a consequence he killed far too fast than what would normally be expected.
HACKERS IGN: falamansa196
ROUNDS IN QUESTION: All, however Rounds 10-10 show without a doubt that this player was hacking.
TYPE OF HACK USED: Unknow - Further information so that the reviewer might have an idea...
In the above mentioned round he decided to camp under the ramp with an AWM.
He seemed to be tracking players without possible sight of them, this is further confirmed by the fact he never scoped whilst camping for a long period until a player was about to come into the open, then he scoped - Furthermore the AWM shots should be singular he rapidly fired with the AWM multiple times in quick succession as can be seen in round 10-10 this is clearly hack.

When we had the walk through the wall hack and 6000 accounts were 'closed' a guy I know of BMWFOREVER got temp banned for using it, he came complaining on an alt that Z8 banned him, he said when he logged onto the z8 site he had a ticket already opened by Z8 stating why his account was suspended and when the suspension would end, he also had to send in a replay to get unsuspended as per Z8's request.
And whether he got his account back or not he could still play.If you don't think its worth it for a corporal account then don't report the corporals.
The hack problem is largely the same people, if these were banned permanently then most of the hacking problem would be resolved chasing accounts and even closing them is no use, its not the accounts that hack its the players. -

Or if a certain player is always sending false reports just filter them, so they actually can send a report but it just get black-holed. -
categorize players who sent in reports of players who actually are hacking..
if i send a report to you guys, the player hacks. as easy as that. i play shooter games for almost 20 years. if i am not 100% sure, that a player is hacking, i won t report. its the way it is. i reported this player in a 100% correct way...

Same here and all my reported hackers are active, every single one. In fact I have not got even 1 banned ever:rolleyes: -

They say the new report system works which sound 'ok', but then again they said the old one worked.
I really would like to know why they don't do anything, I mean:
They don't even watch them?
Noob reviewers?
They created an unworkable system i.e too many reports?

Great incouraging, but the dev's here are too lazy even to get the right data into our weapons section on the homepage D=

meaning, yea soo true about the *updated* weapons' pages
would be nice too if i could like turn into a bird and just fly, fly away.... (im sorry i posted that but i can't resist)
