CSN Discussion: Default Times

We won't be making any changes to the Placement Tournament default time. As it stands, both teams are required to either accept the default time or propose/accept a new time through match comms.
But for future reference, let's discuss opinions/feedback/suggestions on League default times, as to best co-exist with all the other events going on. This will be taken as direct feedback and we will most likely base our times off of the feedback we get here over the coming days/weeks.

IMO saturdays @ 9PM EST works best for most of the community.
I'm considering MOST not all of the community.
Players who go to school:
- Saturdays they have no school
- Fridays they can stay up and practice before the match
- If the match takes a while to finish they can stay up to complete it
Players that have jobs:
- are usually back home earlier on Saturdays
If not Fridays work well also (same reasons) -
i'd say either 6-7 pm on weekends or have matches 9pm on tuesday/thursday because WOGL will interfere with your times since they are 9pm on weekends. I know it's kinda like competing but alot of teams will do both leagues and WOGL may be the favorite for some teams.

If another league (quite possibly the more popular/established league in crossfire) has default times on Sunday at 9PM ET, have default times for CSN on Saturdays at 9PM ET.
It worked when WOGL had 2 events going at the same time, and as I understand it, WOGL season 2 will have 3 different leagues which will not have any teams in more than 1 of these leagues. Thus, teams in WOGL will only have 1 match per week -
While this won't apply to all teams, most teams in CSN select division will be in WOGL-p, and teams in CSN open division will be in WOGL-o.
Since WOGL-p default is Sunday at 9PM ET, make CSN select default on Saturday at 9PM ET.
With WOGL-o default time being Saturday at 9PM ET, make CSN open default on Sunday at 9PM ET.
Only other way to not conflict with another league (possibly the more popular/established league in crossfire) is to have a default for both divisions on Friday at 9PM ET
This seems the most logical for sure. Let's keep the feedback coming but this is a VERY solid idea for both divisions. Thank you for the suggestion.
What about: CSN-O on Fridays and CSN-S on Saturdays? -
I edited my post after I read the WOGL season 2 setup and realized there would be 3 different leagues with teams playing in only 1 of them. Different than season 1 that had 2 events going on at same time with teams in both. 1 event was on Sunday and 1 event was Saturday to allow teams to play their matches in both events.

The best thing to do is to choose a day that is not taken up by the earlier established WOGL. They have established Saturday and Sunday for their WOGL open and WOGL pro divisions. So that leaves CSN with 5 days of the week to choose from. If you choose a day between monday-thursday the default time should be 7 or 8 pm est. If you chose friday it can be anywhere between 7-10 est.
Or you can do what refused suggest however that could become confusing if SOMEHOW a team that is in wogl p is playing CSN open (possible because teams who are playing wogl season 2 are just waiting for CSN season 1 because they know times will interfere between the placement tournament and wogl s2)
Just what ever you do, make it DIFFERENT from wogl's default time this way teams will have to opportunity to play in both leagues and get the best out of this community. -
You remind me of another important factor with scheduling. The anti-cheat client for WOGL had issues with overloading when the default times for matches came around and hundreds of players were trying to log on at same time. I don't know how the anti-cheat client for CSN can handle high traffic all at once, but a possible aversion to this problem is to have seperate default times for the open and select divisions.

What about CSN-Open Fridays at 8PM, CSN-Select Saturdays at 8PM?
those are the worst days of the week man. sunday-wednesday are the best days. 8:30est or 9:30est are good default times. You should shoot for monday defaults for both open/select or monday/tuesday if you need to split it up. -
Taking in Control/Ozz suggestions: Keep in mind that people do work during the week and on the other hand others have school the next day. What about this?

in my experience that is the fairest dates and times. -
Btw, why does CSN-O and CSN-S, have to be on different dates? If a team can only participate in one of the two, then why can't you have all the teams playing on the same date?

I would prefer having all matches played on Sunday at 9PM EST. I have a full schedule and it's hard to maintain. I would feel that a majority of the players would like a full day on Saturday and Friday to scrim and practice or take the day off and relax.

this. I assumed you guys only wanted to do 1 day for each. If a team can only be in one then if your AC client can handle it one day is a good idea. -

It can handle a very high amount of users. It would do just fine with all teams in one day at one time if necessary.

what stop speople from participating at 8:30 pm? I doubt any 14 year olds are going to bed before 10pm.
