Clarification Needed
Ok,
here's the deal. I was wondering that if the GMs ever get a hand on one of those guys who makes hacks, could they turn these guys over to the authorities. I mean those who makes these hacks and sell them to CF players for money. If CF is property of Z8 and Neowiz and other companies included, wouldn't making hacks a violation of these companies and redistributing the a modified version and part of the game for money breaking the code and thus cannot be done? I seriously doubt that people under the age of 18 are making hacks, and I believe that hacks are being distributed for money. What do you guys think? Or am I missing something completely?

well techincally they're not selling modified versions, its more of add ons
Right, but how they change it is still working with the CF versions right? It's still changing and selling it for money. The "selling" part of this is the bad part. I don't know how this isn't illegal. Creating cheats for free online gaming. -_- . I say its almost as bad as creating viruses to hack people's identity and stuff like that. -
I don't see any crimes in selling hacks, but you could sue them in civil court, perhaps for devaluing their product, or somehow hurting their business. I'm sure all companies involved have legal teams that are looking for ways to sue people 24/7. Every company does.

all it came down to money spent VS money made
true, but i dont see harm in doing it to one or two sites. just to send a fear factor message to these areas, to at the very least make them think about what they do.
lets say if "A" company sues "B" site for making cheats. Some of the Sites "C-Z" might take into consideration that they could be next in line if they do so, thus stopping the production of there cheats (keyword "some"). so it creates a fear factor helping to reduce the number if active public sites.
this is just in theroy though.. -

I'm pretty sure a big lawsuit isn't what Z8 has in mind. For one they have to hire a good lawyer. -

true, but doing it only once, can have a very profound effect. it would sent a very real message to that community, and fear is a very good deterant, "if used right".
like "what if that decicde to do it again" .even if they dont its on record that they did it before, which could send the message they arnt afraid to go that far. and that can deter alot of people right there. -
Didn't someone else make a thread like this an hour ago?
Yepp.
Well, you can be prosecuted for DDOS'ing which is practically, especially when done to companies. I've seen San Andreas Multi-player servers DDOS'ed and people have got caught and been prosecuted so I'd like to think that the same rules apply here (for hacking that is; the makers). -

the only thing your missing is that if they wanted to stop the hacks they would pursue leagal action, but with all the money they make off hacks they would rather keep doing nothing. lol im just kidding the stafff isnt selling/making hacks -

Lol comparing capital punishment to hacks
Well that's what I got out of reading that.
But a very good suggestion. IMO Z8 doesn't have the money 'to take legal action'.
