Are Hacks Illegal?
Question meaning, Can you get into federal or any real trouble for hacking into this game and/or exploiting hacks?
If yes, then why doesn't z8games sue some of the major websites giving out these Hacks for CF?
Possibly do something to have those website shut down.

I was wondering why this thread wasn't closed but then I realized it's you not ddott.It usually isn't, but of course some commie countries has ambigious laws that allow you to be charged and punished for pretty much anything.
If anything, in the civilized world, its a civil suit for violation of the terms of use. -

Possibly do something to have those website shut down.Like Fallout said, only server-based hacking is punishable by law. User-based hacking doesn't official count as hacking, because it only alters the game of the user, and not the core of the game.
However, I would like to see such a law being put into the books. Though it might be hard to realize when you have clients outside of your country's jurisdiction.

Not for game hacking. While it is malicious and against the terms of service, game hacks are not illegal. If the hack were to have a keylogger embedded, then it would become illegal. Someone mentioned getting the hacksites shut down. This rarely works. Even if the site is successfully shut down by their host, most of these sites have "friends" who are willing to host them under terms that allow the content that they provide. As far as legal suits, they cost money. A lot of money. Almost certainly more money than they are losing due to rampant hackers.

Oh, I see. Well that sucks doesn't it. They need a new anti-cheat system which will stop practically everything that would inject the game. -
