crossfire mouse accell

To rid your machine of Windows-forced mouse acceleration, you can use CPLmousefix, but it is known to not completely remove acceleration. You should get cheese mouse fix. It is more robust than CPL, and if you would rather have CPL it comes with CPL too.

Please read the thread. The mouse acceleration that is in Crossfire is due to the game engines implementation, not windows. CPL Mousefix or Cheese's mousefix will not solve this problem. -
Basically negative accel is when you have mouse accel off and you move your mouse too fast for the sensor to read how far you've actually moved it so your cursor will not move as far as it would have if you had moved the same distance but only slower.
Personally, I think the Crossfire engine does a very poor job with input. People have had issues with almost all kinds of mice/setups.
What has worked for me to minimize the effects:
1) Default USB Polling Rate (125Hz)
2) Default Windows Sensitivity (6/11)
3) Lower DPI (I use 450)
4) Consistent FPS <-- Most Important
5) Avoid Mouse Drivers (Drivers Process Input Data)
Consistent FPS is important because mouse sensitivity is dependent on FPS. A sensitivity of 8 @ 100 fps will be faster at 200 fps and slower at 50 fps. It is very noticeable. Factoring in mouse accel leads to very big consistency problems with mouse movements.
In general just try to keep everything as it would be on a fresh install of windows. This sucks because your "Gaming Mouse" is now just as plain as a Microsoft WMO.
Negative Accel is the zone in between perfect control and the malfunction speed. http://www.esreality.com/?a=longpost&id=1265679&page=1 -

thanks for telling us about the new fix
You're awesome. -
I have horrible positive accel with this Kinzu.
400dpi
5/11 (only using this because 400dpi on a Kinzu is not 400dpi, it's actually higher, so I have to use 5/11 to make it feel like 400dpi)
ingame: 14-15
Gonna send my broken mx518 back to Logitech. 5 year warranty ftw! -

That's the same as the old fix it just goes about it a different way. All of the acceleration fixes do relatively the same thing. Either way, those fixes don't remove acceleration in crossfire. -
has z8games even though over the fact that there are mouse problems in this game?
maybe, but it depends on the mouse. also there other problems like reg that i feel is more important. you can get used to the accel and hit others but the reg you can't get used to.
i dont know but i dont feel any mouse accel at all. im using the razer deathadder 1800 dpi -

you only play cf, probably dont notice any difference between cf and other fpses -

naw, i play css, cs1.6, quake live, and A.V.A,. it might not be much but i can see the difference, i just put down the polling rate for my mouse and its perfectly fine imo -
Odd. I've never been able to notice the mouse acceleration in this game. I have it set to 8-10 in-game and zoom is set to around 25. My mouse is a G500 and it's at 5700 dpi so maybe that has something to do with it...odd either way.
