when i try insert a (.mov) file it turns all black , i use vegas pro 8.0 , any solutions ?

just make the file you are going to edit an .avi and when you are done editing with it and everything render it to a .mov or a mp4 thats what i do

i had this problem before. think i had to change the quality from best to something else. sorry i'm on my laptop right now and don't remember what exactly it has to be considering i haven't used vegas in 3 months. but i had this problem when i was rendering my economics project. it would come out with a black vid(except for the mask part) and only have the audio. took me like an hour to figure out the properties had to be changed for the quality 0.o
