but would an upgrade system likely not appeal to CF/Z8 either? -as in, say you bought a fresh Desert Eagle. You've got 25 coupons so you have the option to upgrade it to...desert eagle camo. 50 More coupons gets you DE Scope. Obviously z8 would profit from this because you'd need to buy more crates to get more coupons.
---just an example, its obvious that by the time you get 50 coupons from crates you'll have gotten a DE Scope, etc...unless you suck. -_- -

Also 2 little ideas of mine.
1K BP. You use 1K BP in something that works sort of the black market. When you spin it or whatever, you'll get 5 to 30 coupons. 5 is like winning 5k GP and the 30 coupons is like winning the AK-Scope.
Another one is 1k BP - 5 coupons. lol -

Whoa, that's a really good idea.
Maybe this isn't a lost cause after all.
Only problem would be that people will eventually take advantage of the 2.5k gp = 1 coupon by sticking with their M16, gaining ranks and spending all that money on coupons -
