ahhhaahhaahhahahhahahahahahahhaha good job, so u wanna kick ppl in ur own team (your clan mates), yeah nice...
OP: yeah +1
I'm pretty sure he means kicking option in the lobby so you are allowed to kick opposite teams that just idle in your room ^^ -
Useful idea, it might help those smart enough to organize better and not take up unnecessary channel space. Though I feel it won't help in the saddest problem. The obvious numbers.
Us: 5
Them: 8!
Us: This is a 5v5 room, you can't even fit 8...
Them: 8888888!
*Repeat until someone RQ's.* -

With the channel names changed to say 5v5, 8v8, etc, I feel that even the simpletons of crossfire will be able to navigate to the appropriate channel. Of course, you will still get some still going into any channel and asking for w/e number they feel appropriate...
However...
Lets say somewhere in the region of 80-90% of users will find it a welcome addition and turning a time consuming task, into one which is much more efficient with the bonus of packing in those extra few hours of CF each week, instead of sitting and waiting. -

Haha, indeed. XD I was never against the idea, I greatly approve and think its awesome. I hope it does get implemented, it should be simple. Heck, might be in the new maintenance patch, since its just name changing. -

That requires editing server content, and ping problem has been significantly reduced because of the UK server introduction already.
What we are trying to do here, is just simply change the names. Literally, delete Channel 1 etc, and replace with 3v3, 4v4 etc.
Latency cut offs in crossfire servers would also be poor in regards to wire-less users who's latency can spike by 50-60% when confronted with certain game situations such as 5 people appearing on-screen around a corner etc.
Latency cut-offs could be very problematic, between clans and clan members resulting in some being left-out and potentially further separating the NA from the EU side of the community, and completely cutting off such communities as Australia, South-America, Eastern Europe, Asia and more.
Inter-continental fusion between gamers is something which can be a wonderful experience and learning curve. of course in the eyes of the serious full-out competitive CF team, similar pings for a starting 5 are mandatory. However in the larger scope of the game and less serious side (the majority), it would be a shame to lose the mixed culture and nationality aspect of the clan environment.
In conclusion -
We just want keep this suggestion strictly as a text editing one with no programming involved, thus implementation can be immediate and hassle free for our beloved GM / Server operators. For that reason, latency cap-off rules would be no good here.
Glad you support the name change idea though! Keep it coming! -
a simple solution, which requires no content, to help the competitive side of the community and something which will go down a treat and really be appreciated i promise you:
At present:
Clan server / uk clan server
channel - 1
channel - 2
channel - 3
channel - 4
channel - 5
channel - 6
channel - 7
channel - 8
channel - 9
channel - 10
at maximum peak time you will see 3 channels full on a saturday or sunday afternoon, but the rest of the time, on average, only 2 full to the max with blue. The rest of the channels are empty.
Just change the names of the channels to the following, you do not even need to create rules, just a simple name change will do the trick as the majority of players and clans will follow in turn because it will make their and everyones life easier!
New channel names:
3v3(a)
3v3(b)
4v4(a)
4v4(b)
5v5(a)
5v5(b)
6v6(a)
6v6(b)
7v7
8v8
done! The majority of scrims players are between 3-6 players hence two available channels!
7's and 8's are few and far between, so 1 channel is suitable!
No more in and out, looking, searching, deciding, getting everyone together, missing one person, wait a little bit, lets go and search another one, oh i am afk, blah blah blah.
On a side note - this is often a source of conflict between clans, and contributes toward how aggressive this community can be at times.
With this solution it's now just a simple case of:
"how many do we have?"
"5"
"ok, - go to 5v5(a)"
done.
Simple.
Fast.
Just requires changing the names of the channels and nothing else.
How about it?

Support this idea.
this would probably end allot of trouble in clan match searching.
MORE PLAYING = MORE FUN = MORE HAPPY PEOPLE = MORE ZP BUY
MORE WAITING = MORE BORING = MORE ANGRY PEOPLE = MORE PEOPLE QUIT GAME =(
PD. This idea might bring aev1tas back!
