did it say anythign like its Already been taken or no spcial characters ? or is it ur keyboard ? Does it not Show when you type in "[ ]" ? Please be more descriptive.

Edit : Or just be more unique with your name and pick something else. Or Pick a different stlye of spelling it

oh okies Ive never had this problem before. it might just be your key board because you should be able to do it. perhaps try a diff key board ?

You can't enter special characters like that when you first create your account. The only way I know of to get those characters is by using the name change item.

its not a special character thou i thought u can only put (*-[]) ? it says when u create ur nickname.
