Servers are weird.

I live in New York, and for some reason I get about 50 ping on the Toronto server, but about 40 in the Miami one. Miami is almost 3 times farther from where I live then toronto is. Can anyone explain thins to me?

Doesn't really matter, you should be happy you get good ping like that.

hmm i live in brooklyn, ny and get 50 in the toronto one. haven't tried the miami server yet. hopefully i get around the same as you

PS: when i started playing this game i was at 33 ping

same.....i live in virginia, in which Toronto is closer but i get 55 ping in alpha and 44 in miami

Same thing as you. I live in Boston, 42 ping on Canadian servers, 44 on Miami, it's not more, but its pretty small difference.

But I thought Miami was about the same distance away as Toronto from where we live.

EDIT: Checked a map

Toronto is about 500 miles away from me, Miami is about 1500 yet I only get a +2 pin. Wierd.

depends on what kinda hops and all are between where you are located and the server. do a tracert to the different servers

Me too 30 ping in beta. I live on Kingshwy. And you remember Nikita? He lives on sheepshead bay too XD

-.- lol i also remember meeting like 3 kids who lived in sheepshead bay in a pub. kings highway was my chill spot when i used to compete in ballroom/latin dancing(stopped 2 years ago). the studio is by like ea games and burger king

I live on east 23rd and avenue P which is like a 10-15 minute walk to eb games.

ya eb lol. aww damn that was like the best burger king in new york

not to mention close to my studio

I live in Texas and I get 58-65 ping on Canada Server and I get 60-64 on Miami Server even though Miami is so much closer to Texas than Canada.

OnT: I was mad when I went from 45 to 50 ping on CA servers. Although I get 25 ping in Miami.

i just got 46 ping in the miami server on my wireless laptop. so not much of a difference
