"Thannying" A way of knifing?
So I spent an entire day playing knife battles yesterday and I met this guy.

So hes like this major knifing pro and tried to teach me how to "thanny"
His definition is: "Moving in a circular motion around your enemy while slashing and crouching." Supposedly, it confuses your enemy and makes it harder for them to hit you.
Sounds wierd no? I guess a video of this idea would make more sense.
Any knifers heard of this?

most people move in a circular motion around the enemy anyways,
but the crouch i never tried and i guess it could help, but not against shovels or axes
