Wrong.Plug it in. If it doesn't work. You just answered your own question. But no, I do not believe you can.
There's emulator programs that you can download and set up controls that simulate moving your mouse, and you can adjust the sensitivity on that. I don't remember which one I used, but I tried it. It was fun for the first 5 minutes, but it got annoying not being able to aim worth a crap. It would be fun to have a room full of people using a controller though.

oh its quite possible to use joysticks & controllers for this game. you just need the right emulating software & settings to be able to compete with mice.
most of the widely availible ones most likely will work, but wont preform on par with a mouse. (like 90-95% of the total)
there are a few out though that can, if setup correctly with the proper settings, be as good as a mouse. but, those are the harder to find ones. (like 5-10% of the total)
alot of people prefer a controller to mouse & keyboard, and alot prefer the M&K as well. it just really comes down to what you prefer. -

The guy is at its first post and just asking something to the community and everyone laught at him.
Proof that the CF community is immature? We got it.
- To answer your question; no you can't use a joystick. Just keep practicing with mouse and keyboard, FPS are made to play that way. Youll even get better to play with M&K instead of a joystick.
