was bored, so i decided to turn my laptop on and peek into the .REZ files for a bit.

and i found this:

the word "Barrett" pops out to me.

becuase its the single most overpowered weapon in crossfires history right now.

no matter what you do, and how or where you hit them. its an instant kill. last time i fired one, it went through, and killed 6 people with one shot.. ..in the chest.

quickswitching solves the slow rate of fire i think, unless its changed.

I think it had the fire rate of an AWM, and it can be used in all modes.

I'm not really fussed if they do bring the Barrett or not tbh. It'd be outsniped by most AWM'ers.

Though one of the GMs did say we do have alot of .rez files that aren't in plans to be implemented. The medic kit being one of them.

i can mod rez so i know whats in the file, and the .50 cal have been in there for quite sometime

actually barret is consider the best sniper in other versions.

it is superior to awm in almost everyway.

more damage.
full box damage.
one shot everywhere on body.
can kill 6 people with 1 shot.
looks smexyier.
700 damage to mutants.
smexyier animations.

same fire rate as awm.
can be quickswitched like awm (unless it was changed)

only thing awm has better then it is weight, but since you can just pull out a pistol or knife, weight means nothing.

i can but too lazy ATM, we have most of the gun exist in CF, but our CF server dont have it in their file so we cant use it

Heavier.
I AWM box damage is fine for finishing someone off.
You shouldn't be aiming for the legs

You'll be VERY lucky to ever get 6 people standing in a row for you

Nuttin is smexier than an AWM

700 is kinda overkill $:\$

Meh, I wouldn't bother with it tbh, AWM-C ftw

50. cal is going to be new noob cannon
will be even worse then m12s
all brs will buy it
so it should be like this:
-IN ZP crates for 2000 ZP per 1 crate
-power reduced to 90
-weight increased to 100 (cannot move):D
-fire rate reduced to 10 (as fast as AWM):D

It's a well known fact you can stick any crap in a crate, call it good, and people will still buy it.

Just look at the M16-S.

I think it would balance out if they just gave it a slower firing rate then the AWM.. why dont they just do that? >.>

I hope it's NOT coming, I really don't need those Barrett to come break all the fun of Mutation Mode. 3...2...1...Mutated...Boom....Headshot....Soldier Win! If anyone get this, we're all screwed. And if people complain M12s make loud noise, well, the barrett is worse. Imagine the chaos in Prison. Imagine if some Global Risk bring that in Ghost Mode, you know what will happen.

They better not change their mind. If you want the barrett, go play CF Korea, they gave it sometime for special event (not permanent).

Even if its in the game files it still doesn't mean we have any means of getting it via shop. So its good as none.
But old news is old... I suggest getting an AWM, polish your aiming and then it will as good as a barret.

True. We`ve had the USP in our files for ages, but we still don`t see it in game (except for gamescom). We`ve had the M4A1 Crystal in our files for ages, too, and just got it last patch. Doesn`t mean, Barrett will come in the next patch..

Becuz they just wont do that thats too hard for them i guess 0_o
