crossfire not in full screan!

my friend installed windows 7 on his computer.he has a wide screen monitor the problem is with the crossfire.. when he is in the game (lobby or playing) the stuff goes on only in the center of the screen on the left and right there is like 5 cm of black screen... can anyone help? is it because of the windows 7?
