custom avatars

This would require people to learn 3d modeling to even use.. And even then; It would be too complicated as people could easily exploit this. Some examples I could think of:
*Empty model (Nothing to shoot at, Perfectly invisible)
*No collider (Walk through walls, or something similar)
*Collider at the head(Be under the map, and near impossible to hit)
*Reduce model size(Smaller people, harder to hit.)
*Offensive models(Nudes, Racism, Etc.)
*Guns placed in unfair positions(At the head, and a fixed position, Perfect headshots on same height characters on level ground; Or some other unfair/inappropiate positions)
*No collider arms/guns (Walk up to a wall, put your arms through it, and be able to fire through it.)
*SPOP/GSG9/STAR would become useless as you could extract and use these models.
*Smaller/Bigger mutants.
*Alpha settings may bug out for ghost mode on custom models.
*Rediculous load times/CF size. (You would have to download and/or store EVERY unique model you see.) -
I think the furthest you could go with custom avatars would be to use a system like on Playstation Home.
Have a predefined group of say 20 faces and outfits which you can pick for each character. You would still have to purchase the characters and some faces and clothing could be free while others are premium ZP purchases. All that is required to download then is the variable of which face and clothing each player is using in the game just like it is now.
However, such a thing is beyond the scope of a simple FPS game like Crossfire and I doubt it will ever happen.
