Understanding "Community"

Anyways, it's mainly just me and Hi left trying to help out.
I was in fL too. -.-
Anyhow, I don't know what he meant by saying taking down oL.Also i strongly disagree with your club idea. Let's take the new "fU" group as an example. I have seen many members of them doing things such as posting facepalm pictures or starting flame wars as a response to threads. That being said, club doesn't equal intelligence and maturity, IMO.
We do what we want in off topic. But I have yet to see a troll in barracks/etc. -
Hmmm, another thread full of smart,well-thought out and intelligent repsonses from most people,in particular Zoom and Polleus. I think that it would be a lot easier if there was just a server were no spops, under 150 ping,no kriss or m12s were allowed even though I never see that becoming the case. That part of the game is just ridiculous,I personally don't even like to pub in CF anymore,if there's no-body on Pug or Clan Vent i'll go pub in AVA simply as the reg, guns and general accessaries (you know what I mean ^^) arent as silly as it is here.
Wogl obviously influenced the game majorly I felt, and CF could do with another league I think, aswell as possibly sponsors(best idea ever- using the billboards and posters on walls to advertise). We all know Z8 need to make money, but if making money means ruining the game, its not smart. They need to find a balance. Even limiting clan numbers to maybe 40 or 50 max and higher prices for adding people could help the game with people splitting up into smaller clans, which leads to better chemistry in scrims, playing better and hopeully somewhere down the road a new team.
For euro's,EU pug was a great thing to have, where there were pugs being played 24/7 - without any spop/armour tw@ts,and people that can speak english (turks, greeks, germans, romanians are mostly annoying) which is horrible for the game. I must say though, besides all the laggers,spop/star imbeciles and turks/br's in particular I really like this game at times. I think it would be better if Star and Spop were replaced by a FAIR version, without being skinny and rubbish, maybe swap it for another zp charachter like GSG-9,but snazzier since I believe nobody has problems with the GSG-9 and its not even used compared to the spop.
Sorry for the huge post lol. -
You can't expect intelligence from a club which is full of some Munzta invasion mixed up with 14 y/o forumers, really.Let's take the new "fU" group as an example. I have seen many members of them doing things such as posting facepalm pictures or starting flame wars as a response to threads. That being said, club doesn't equal intelligence and maturity, IMO. -
Since it's an oppinion I decided to make it as general as possible. Beta includes both of those.
Oh, okay, mistake on my part
Also, we had two, eras, to say. The Suba era, and the Z8 era. The Z8 era just reached it's 1st full year, therefore we still have time to pick ourselves up and move on, if we have the motivation and determination. -
getting rid of stubborn cheaters and those guys on the forums who post what they won/rank they achieved today will make this game a better place. lol
Also, enforcing rules with more severe consequences, just as CFP has, but make bans IP-wise. It would make those cheaters think twice. -

This. Enforcing rules the appropriate way. The rules are written for everyone to see, read, and understand. They should be enforced as stated. -

I highly doubt that 0.5% of the community actually knows any rules besides "No hacking/glitching". -
With the downhill will arise new members, new groups, new ideas that will create the start of an "uphill" in a sense

Kinda the oppsite because the arise of new members are mostly from outer countrys such as brazil. So they make this game go down hill. -
I like you a lot zoom.He means mature and intelligent clubs such as oL. oL was an idea Bruce had, he wanted to make the first club in CF (like the ones in CS) to organize the community in little clubs with people that have the same interests. fU was a club that tried to take oL down and failed.
oL's members are chosen, fU was open for everyone to join, which attracted the trolls and the immature part of the community.
fL was a club that held open applications for people to join, the name was somewhat stupid imo. A club shouldn't hold applications, it should be restricted like [oL] and people who are in it should be asked to join, not be accepted via forum application.
A club that holds open applications isn't really a club.Exactly. Just wanted to state that having groups doesn't necessarily mean the community is improving itself.

Oh, fU was open for everyone? What kind of "club" is that... Just saying.
Us3r = BlindRob with an A crosshair.Deadeye or Greycloack making fun of post counts, perhaps xD
If that club was strong enough, it would have survived.
Troll clubs? That is nothing. I don't even consider them "clubs".
Slaya = Kahlan with 250 ping.It wasn't like "yo everyone join". But they aren't nearly as restrictive as oL.
[oL] is a respected group on the forums. I certainly respect bruce and everyone else in [oL]. Restrictiveness is necessary for clubs who try to make a difference. -
I think the emphasis on the restrictiveness is to ensure longevity within a group. You certainly can not expect to last for a very long time by letting just anyone in. By becoming "exclusive", it might give users something to work towards. Strive to be like those in the clubs that want to influence the community, rather than let it die.

It amazes me how good you are with any amount of ping.It amazes me everytime how he can snipe with 250 ping.
Especially you in west coast
Let me rephrase:More like Slaya = Giggletron without SPOP/STAR.
Slaya = Stussy with 250 ping
Us3r = penelope cruz with a worsened complexion and a portugese curly haircut. -
