ive was having the same question I've bought both but i got the tar21 first but i honestly think u should buy the xm8 first very good gun helps u more in long range with the scop instead of the tar21(it just zoooms in).

i find the tar a bit more reliable then the xm8 because the xm8s scope SUCKS.

Get xm8 100% wallbanging

I prefer the Tar to the XM8. I find that the 100% wallbang only helps me in select situations. I get better results with the it because of the way the recoil works. First 3-5 shots on target, if that doesn't kill them then you just wait for the recoil to cool down, which takes a surprisingly short amount of time.

i prefer the TAR-21 over the XM8 carbine.. but thats my opinion.

i got xm8 , its 100 % damage through wall . very nice

Tar is fun but xm8 > tar anyday.

ak47, m4a1, xm8, are the 3 best GP guns in my opinion.. and the most popular too
