Yeah, I was there since day 1 (Since my dad got me a trade visitor season ticket) and I also played CF there today xD
Man, that place is awesome! I kicked ass at CF on the first day, since I was probally the only one there who had played before. At the second day (Well, technically the second day it´s still today on the German calendary) it was harder since there were a lot more of experienced players but i still ownd most times, I inclusivley played both days most of the time on the display screen! For who was there too I was the dude with the Star Wars Adidas T-Shirt... And yes, I also won both the awesome Maiden T-shirt AND a promotional 5000 ZP card that I have no idea of how to use (Ive already asked for help on the Z8 Games report page). So I surley recommend to go to Gamescon this year, not just to have a few minutes of glory showing your FPS skills to the rest of the public but also to visit the rest of the convention, Its totally awesome! Maybe tomorrow when I go there i will tape a little video out of my gameplay to put on youtube...

u tell me how u got them me and my friends where there yesterday for a total of 2 hours maybe and we didnt see any free stuff given away for doing well or sth else

Is this some attempt at an insult?

You didn't introduce yourself either. I could imagine your reasons for that.

    Hahahhaha

You have to introduce each other, so that none of you will try to insult.
  • Someone should go and try to impersonate me.

    1. Wear loose fitting jeans and a t-shirt.

    2. Swear loudly

3 (Most important). Call everyone a nerd and say 1v1 Columbia a lot.

    Or me.

    1. Wear always jeans and a shirt.

    2. Talk loudly (portuguese-like).

    3. Talk english like a russian.

    4. Hang a hand at Saidin and call him Saliden.
  • ozziedog - noob wanna use the multi quote function?
  • Since this thread is about gamescom I would like to advise everybody disapointed by the SC2 gear they had previewed a long time ago that they will be releasing any time in the future this : http://www2.razerzone.com/tron/. Think i'll get mouse and mouse mat (think about it have goliathus and orochi, wich dont make alot light) they look so cool. Not sure for the keybord lycosa is awesome but I really don't think i'll get blackwidow don't like the keys.

On Topic: The crossfire booth seems little is it only that black room with 10 computers and a "big" screen that shows the middle guy.

I understand you Saidin not wanting to show yourself but if you don't people may imagine you are worser than you actually are (not sayign you are bad looking but we can't know if you don't post a picture of you). The most would be a photo of you playing crossfire or even a video.

    >< They donate free zp and tee-shrits >< I am so mad to not be able to go there!

I know that on razers live (all day long on there site) teh black bloke often speaks german but sometimes english, those who play aren't german and don't even speak german I think... But do you guys at razer stand speak english or german?
  • looks tight. since it was in UK and everyone was sitting rite next to each other, ping's musta been teh same, plus, i'ma guess those pc's get high fps. musta been nice to own liek that ;]

btw SAIDIN - ARE THESE OFFICIAL OR FAN MADE?
    cs-Key-chains8pc-all_001.jpg
    351cncx.jpg

They're advertised on ebay as CS keychains, but upon further inspection (aside from gold ak, combat axe, etc.) - THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY Cross Fire NOT Counter Strike keychains.
  • Damn i want to go there but from asutria up to tehre is too far. 7 hours car drive.

You cant force Saidim to post a picture of him.

    ^^ it's 2h44m riding from my house...
    but im just a kid..
i'll come when im older ;)
  • Today I had to come back to my hotel earlier, but it was still pretty cool to play there. The enviroment of all those crazy Cross-addicteds like us, surrounding the place and killing each other made this a perfect day!
And in case if you are wondering of how to get a T-shirt, well... Mine was kind of a gift from Sadin (Thx man, you rule! o/) but there were still today some of them at the entrance, a friend of mine also got one with a Gatling Gun and trust me, it totally rocks. Im not sure if they´ve been all already taken away, but I guess you can still ask them ;)
  • Day 3 over.

    9:00pm

    Back at the hotel.

Not sure whether to call this blog entry the: "Justin Bieber called and wants his hair back", or the "I just found out someone could get free ZP, where's mine?" or the "I'm so addicted to cross fire I left my girlfriend standing at the entrance so Saidin gave her a t-shirt anyways!" blog.

All in all, it was a really fun day 3! We had many people come through the doors. We gave away almost all of our stuff, although for those wondering we still have t-shirts, bags and more free zp available!

And yes Ozzie, come by and say I'm ozziedog on the forums. No I won't call you a nerd (you're attending a gaming convention and I'm working at one!).

There are pics to be had. Me being behind the lens doesn't lend itself to pictures of me. And no, I'm not taking my camera to the bathroom for a myspace-photo-session. So stop asking!

I will upload more pictures later. For now I wanted to say thanks to everyone that has stopped by. Some people are starting to come out of their shell and saying hello and asking questions. Beyond just being addicted to Cross Fire we're trying to have fun in our booth!

And if you mention you're from the forums or have an account I might still have some extra swag!

Also a big shout out to everyone who has been playing with the gamescom accounts. We've got some funny stats to show (gamescom05 has the best K/D and is also the computer attached to the big screen). I'll post more on that later. But I have recognized some forumers accounts every now and then! So if you see yourself playing with the gamescom accounts say hello to us on the floor!

But for now, I have a moment to see this beautiful city before the sun goes down and 7am rolls around to start up day 4!

    See you on the floor.

    -Saidin
  • How much are the bits of free zp you're giving out?

Can you send me a reedeem code for free zp too, even if I am not there :)?
  • Saidin I think you should give me a code or two, for top-fragging one of the first Gamescom rooms, but getting D/C'd right before the end :'(

Btw quick question, are you planning to come to any conventions in England/UK?
A huge potential audience here, plus I'd bring myself and some fellow forumers along.

I would come but I'm ashamed that you would recognize me and laugh how bad I look.

    9:25 PM

Day 2 has come to a close. Where to begin.

It started with the calm before the storm around 9:00am. Arriving in the morning we set up our computers with newly minted headsets for people to actually HEAR with, over the immense noise of every other booth that is. The floors were void of people and there was a general sense of tension in the air.

If you're wondering why, it was because just waiting beyond the entrance there was literally THOUSANDS of people lined up waiting to get it. They were cheering and shouting and itching to get their hands on all the latest content being dropped by the big companies.

Cross Fire had a perfect vantage point, located near one of the entrances. Within 30 seconds of security opening the gates, the area was flooded with people. Fans of all games, including Cross Fire joined us in our booth. Sat down and played random online games with the thousands of other people playing CF at that very moment.

Day 2 went off without a hitch. It was amazing to see so many people come play and enjoy our game. We had LAN matches, and TDM games, and some scrims going on between gamescom players. Almost all computers at some point played multiple random games with players on the internet.

I was blown away by the skill level of the players coming in. Most players who played a round would top frag, or at least come in a close second. All our gamescom accounts had all the weapons on them and players were gravitating towards some of the more popular weapons like the AK-Gold and the Kriss Super V. But there was always someone fraggin with an AWM or trying out other favourites like the Scar L and the XM8.

Here are a few pictures, excuse the forum-breaking size.

I'll describe them in order here to save confusion and text between photo's. Excuse the quality. The booth is very dark and the light coming off the wall material sparkled and distracts the camera and makes pictures blury.

    1 - The booth
2 - Our lovely hostesses aka "booth babes"
3 - The entrance we are near with the fans waiting to get in
4 - The hordes of fans seconds after the doors open
    5 - Fans playing CF
6 - Asus stops by to show their CF love
    7 - More Top Fraggin
    8 - Big screen action

See you all on Day 3!
